High blood pressure

Beloved of All
To Jesus Jehovah Rapha, my love intetest is in the hospital from collapsing because of his blood pressure, he just turned ### years old on Sept ### praise god. We can not meet while I am still in the shelter I am standing in the gap for him. I’d appreciate you standing also in Jesus name please and 🙏🏿

We join you in standing in the gap for this young man and we thank you for bringing him before the Lord Jesus, our Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals us.

We are praying for his complete healing and recovery from this collapse and for his high blood pressure to be brought under control. We know our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and we ask God to restore health to him and to guide the hands of the doctors and nurses caring for him in the hospital. We claim the promise that God is the one who heals us, as it is written, I am Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26, and Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. We also hold to the promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17.

We pray together now for him.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this young man to Your throne of grace. You know him by name, You know his age and the days You have ordained for him, and we thank You for his life. Lord, we ask You to touch his body, to stabilize his blood pressure, to strengthen his heart and all his systems, and to bring him out of the hospital in health. We ask for wisdom for his medical team and for peace for him and his family. Let Your healing power rest upon him according to Your will, for the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15. We also pray for our sister who is interceding for him while she is in the shelter, grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding as she waits and prays, Philippians 4:6-7.

We also want to lovingly speak to your heart about this relationship. You called him your love interest and we hear your care for him as you stand in prayer while you cannot meet because you are in the shelter. We want to encourage you to see this season of courtship through a biblical lens. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and that any romantic relationship should be pursued as courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, not simply as a partnership or dating without purpose. The scripture teaches, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14, and that we are to flee sexual immorality, for God calls us to purity before marriage, as it is written, Flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. If this man is a brother in Christ, we pray that the Lord will make clear if he is to be your godly husband, and if so, that your relationship would be kept pure and honoring to God as you both seek Him first. If he is not yet a believer, we pray for his salvation above all, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved except Jesus, Acts 4:12.

We see God’s hand even in the fact that you cannot meet right now. This time apart can be a protection and a time to build your foundation on prayer and the Word, trusting God’s timing rather than our own. We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord for His will for both of your lives, to guard your heart, Proverbs 4:23, and to trust that God will provide for all your needs while you are in the shelter. He is your refuge and strength, Psalm 46:1, and He promises, Fear not, for I am with you, don’t be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, Isaiah 41:10.

We stand with you, we are praying for his full recovery, for your peace and provision, and for God’s perfect will to be done in your lives and in your relationship, all in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer.

We were grateful you shared this with us and we are standing with you in prayer for him.

It is so hard when someone you care about collapses and is in the hospital, especially just after his birthday, and you cannot be at his bedside because you are in the shelter. We hear your love and concern for him and the way you are faithfully standing in the gap even from a distance. That waiting and not being able to be there is heavy, and we are asking God to carry you through it.

While he is under medical care, it may help to ask the nurses how loved ones can receive updates by phone when visiting is not possible, and to let your shelter case manager or chaplain know what has happened so they can support you and help you stay connected. If you are able, a brief note passed through the hospital staff can also be a quiet encouragement to him.

We are praying for God’s nearness for you both in these days, for wisdom for his doctors and nurses, and for peace as you wait for news.

Father, we lift this young man to You and ask for Your mercy and care over him in the hospital. Guide those treating him and grant him healing according to Your will. Comfort our sister as she waits in the shelter, provide for her needs, steady her heart, and help her feel Your presence close. Give wisdom for each next step. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Your burden has been brought before us and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace. We will stand in the gap with you in prayer for this man who has collapsed and lies in the hospital, and for you also as you wait in the shelter.

Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it is the very character of the prayer of Christ who ever lives to make intercession. It is also exceedingly prevalent. It has stayed plagues and raised the dead, and as to how many souls it has instrumentally blessed, eternity alone shall reveal. When you plead a promise and drop that prayer into the ground with hope, your weakness shall not make it miscarry. It shall still prevail with God and bring down blessings from on high. Prayer is a wondrous blender of hearts, and to pray for another is to learn to love him rightly before God.

We hear your appeal to Jesus, Jehovah Rapha, the Lord that heals. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His very touch brings virtue, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. So let your prayer rise to His throne even out of this low place. God will hear the prayer of a staggering man at his wits end, the prayer that seems to reel to and fro, for it is not eloquence He regards but faith in His Son.

We thank God with you for the sparing of this man's life to another birthday, and we ask the Great Physician to lay His hand upon him now. We pray that the Lord would be very pitiful and have compassion upon him in his misery, that He would calm his blood pressure, restore his strength, and give wisdom to those who care for him. Above all we pray that both he and you would know the healing that goes deeper than the body, the forgiveness of sins through the precious blood of Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and no other plea will stand in the day of need.

In your waiting, while you remain in the shelter and cannot meet, take this as a season to seek the Lord with a single heart. Keep yourself in His way and pray as David prayed, Remember the Word unto Your servant, and plead His promises with humility and holy argument. If the Lord should in His providence lead you both toward marriage, remember that marriage is His good gift, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all that belongs to it is to be kept within that covenant in purity and honor before Him. Until and unless the Lord so leads, commit your affections to His keeping and walk in holiness, trusting His timing and His wisdom to direct your paths.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will quicken you in His way, sustain you in the shelter, provide for your daily needs, and give you peace that passes understanding as you cast your care upon Him. May He draw you nearer to Christ, keep you watchful in prayer, and answer according to His abundant mercy.

Our Father, remember Your Word unto Your servants. Look in compassion upon this man in his sickness and raise him up if it be Your will. Forgive sin for Jesus sake, heal body and soul, and let Your name be praised. Keep this dear one in the shelter under the shadow of Your wing, supply all need, and lead in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
