Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for healing from high blood pressure has been heard, and the weight you feel in your body, the sense of being under pressure everywhere, is understood by the Lord who made you.
Scripture teaches that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that God gave blood a sacred purpose upon the altar to make atonement for the soul. That is why He taught His people to have such deep respect for blood. It is not a small thing to Him. Your blood, your life, your body matters to Him. He sees the strain you are living under and He cares about your physical health as well as your soul.
This is where our hope rests in Jesus as our great High Priest. Under the old covenant the high priest had to enter the most holy place year after year, and never without blood, first offering for his own sins and then for the sins of the people. Those sacrifices with the blood of bulls and goats could only cover sin for a time and had to be repeated. But Christ has become our High Priest in a greater way. He did not enter an earthly tent made by hands, and He did not offer the blood of animals. He entered heaven itself with His own blood, once for all, and by that one offering He obtained eternal redemption for us. He now appears in the presence of God on our behalf, representing us there.
Because He shed His own blood, there is forgiveness and cleansing from all sin for everyone who trusts in Him, for without the shedding of blood there is no remission. And the same suffering by which He bore our sins also made provision for our healing. His ministry on earth was preaching and teaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people, a ministry of restoration for bodies broken by illness and lives broken by sin. The Gospel shows that the healing He brings is not only spiritual, but also touches the body, as seen when He healed those who came to Him.
So we bring your body and your blood before Him now.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You. You know the high pressure that has afflicted this body and the weariness it brings. You know that life is in the blood and You value this life deeply. We thank You that Jesus our great High Priest has entered heaven for us with His own precious blood, and that His one sacrifice is complete and sufficient. We ask for Your healing touch upon this body. Bring this blood pressure into a healthy and normal balance, calm the strain on the heart and vessels, and grant renewed strength and peace. Give wisdom to doctors and guidance in daily choices for health, and above all give assurance of Your presence and Your care. Let Your restoring power be known, and let this one rest in Your love and mercy. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who lives to intercede for us. Amen.
May the Lord give you peace as you trust Him, and may you continue to seek wise medical care while looking to Him as your healer and your hope. He is near, He understands your weakness, and He is faithful to keep you in His hands.
