We join you in bringing your pain, wounds, illnesses and high blood pressure before the Lord, asking Him for healing and relief from symptoms. We hear the heaviness in your words that there is too much going on in your body and we lift that burden with you to our compassionate Father.
We want to share what Scripture says about healing because God does care about your body. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And Isaiah 53:5 reminds us But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was on him, and by his stripes we are healed. We also remember Exodus 15:26 where the Lord says I am Yahweh who heals you. We pray with confidence that He is able to touch your body, calm high blood pressure, ease pain and bring restoration according to His perfect will.
We also want to gently speak truth in love about some of what you expressed, because we want your faith to rest on the solid foundation of God's Word. You said you do not deserve to face battles, pain or symptoms as long as your health remains free of disease, and that your health is clean as perfect and that God recognizes you as a winner who will win all the way to the top and is proud of you for that. We understand the desire to declare victory and to be free from suffering, but Scripture teaches us differently about deserving and about battles. None of us deserves health or healing on our own merit, it is by God's grace and mercy that we receive any good thing. Romans 3:23 and Ephesians 2:8-9 show us we are saved and sustained by grace, not by our own winning. Jesus Himself said in John 16:33 In the world you have trouble, but cheer up, I have overcome the world. James 1:2-4 also tells us to consider it joy when we fall into various trials, because trials produce endurance and maturity. God does not promise a life free of all battles or disease on this side of eternity, but He does promise to be with us in them and to work all things for good for those who love Him as Romans 8:28 says. And our identity is not that we make ourselves winners, but that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us as Romans 8:37 says. God loves us not because we win, but because we are His children through Christ, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness as 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. To declare that your health is already perfect when you are still experiencing pain and high blood pressure is not speaking truth, and God desires truth in our hearts. Instead we are called to humbly ask, trust and submit to His will, as Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also noticed your prayer was addressed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this with love because it is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to confess your sins and receive His forgiveness and to come to God the Father in His name.
We now pray together for you.
Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You who is carrying pain, wounds and the burden of illness and high blood pressure. Lord, You see every symptom and every struggle in the body. We ask for Your healing touch, that You would bring relief from pain, stabilize blood pressure, and restore health as You will. We ask for wisdom for doctors and for guidance to steward the body well through proper care, rest and treatment. We pray for Your peace to guard the heart and mind when anxiety rises about health. Forgive us for any pride or self-reliance, and help us to rest not in being winners by our own strength but in being loved children through Christ. Teach us to trust You in battles and to find our hope and victory in Jesus alone. We ask that You draw this dear one closer to Jesus, to know His salvation, His presence and His sustaining grace every day. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to be honest before Him about your pain, and to continue with faithful medical care as God often works through those means. Trust His goodness even when healing is not instant, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We are standing with you, asking God to bring healing, peace and a deeper confidence in Christ.
