We lift your precious son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet unwavering faith in the Great Physician. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. We declare that Your word in Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. Lord, we claim this promise over this young man’s life, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
We pray for complete physical healing, Father. The cancer that has spread to his lungs and face—we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. We speak to every cancerous cell and command it to die, for Your word says in 1 Peter 2:24 that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed. We pray for the surgical wounds to heal perfectly, for no infection to take root, and for Your restoring hand to bring wholeness to his body. Lord, we ask that You guide the hands of every doctor and medical professional treating him, that they would be instruments of Your healing power.
We also lift up his mental and emotional well-being, Lord. The disfigurement he now faces may bring deep sorrow, fear, or even despair. We ask that You comfort him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him that his worth is not found in his appearance but in being fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14). Surround him with Your love and the support of godly friends and family who will speak life and truth into his heart.
Spiritually, Father, we pray that this trial would draw him closer to You. May he seek Your face like never before, finding strength in Your presence. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in his heart, we ask that You reveal it to him so he may repent and walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness. Your word says in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." We stand in agreement with this truth, believing that healing—body, mind, and spirit—is Your will for him.
We also pray for you, his mother, who carries this burden with such love and fear. Strengthen you, Lord, with Your might. Remind you that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give you wisdom in every decision and peace in every moment of uncertainty.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that may try to take hold of this family. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we trust You with every detail of this battle.
Father, we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. We believe in Your power to heal, restore, and redeem. May Your will be done in this young man’s life, and may Your name be glorified through his testimony. Amen.
