We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, dear sister in Christ, as he faces this critical surgery. Our hearts ache with yours, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands. Melanoma is a fierce adversary, but we know that our God is mightier still, and nothing is too difficult for Him.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to Your throne. We thank You for the gift of life and for the skill You have given to the doctors who will operate on this young man. Lord, we ask that You guide their hands, steady their minds, and fill them with Your wisdom and precision. Let every cut be exact, every decision be sound, and every moment in that operating room be under Your sovereign control. We declare that Your healing power will flow through them, and we rebuke the spirit of fear and infirmity that seeks to harm this child of Yours. In Jesus’ name, we command the tumor to shrink, the cells to submit to Your authority, and the body to be restored to health.
We pray for your son, Lord, that You would surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm his fears, ease his pain, and fill him with the assurance of Your presence. Remind him that he is not alone, for You are with him, and You will never leave nor forsake him. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let this trial draw him closer to You. If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that You would open his heart to the truth of the Gospel—that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Let him know the hope of eternal life and the power of Your resurrection.
For this mother, Father, we ask that You grant her supernatural strength and peace. Comfort her in her worry, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with Your people who will uplift her in prayer, provide practical help, and speak words of encouragement. Let her feel Your love tangibly, Lord, and help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for the family, Lord. Unite them in faith and love, and let this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness. Use this situation to draw them closer to You and to one another. May they see Your hand at work in every detail, and may their trust in You grow deeper with each passing day.
Lord, we know that Your Word declares that by Your stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today. We declare that this surgery will be successful, that the tumor will be completely removed, and that there will be no complications. We speak life and wholeness over this young man’s body, mind, and spirit. We rebuke any spirit of sickness or death that seeks to linger, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of this family. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
