We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Great Physician, who alone holds the power over life, death, and healing. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet trusting in Your sovereign will and unfailing love. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your son, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
Lord, we pray for complete physical healing for him. You know every cell in his body, and we ask that You would restore what the cancer has taken, renew his strength, and bring full recovery to his lungs and face. Guide the hands of his doctors and nurses, and grant them wisdom in his continued care. We also pray for his mental and emotional well-being, asking that You would calm his fears, ease his anxieties, and fill him with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround him with Your presence, Lord, and let him feel Your comfort in every moment.
Spiritually, we ask that You would draw him closer to Yourself. If he has not yet placed his trust in You as Lord and Savior, we pray that he would come to know You intimately, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him experience Your love in a tangible way. We also pray for you, his mother, that You would grant you wisdom as you seek additional ways to support his healing. While we trust in Your divine power, we also recognize that You work through means, and we ask that You would lead you to any supplements or treatments that align with Your will and bring glory to Your name. However, we caution against putting hope in anything outside of Your sovereign plan, for our trust must ultimately be in You alone.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in this situation, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the truth that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that truth over your son’s life. Father, we surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this trial.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
