Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest cry for help has been heard and you are not alone in this fear. It is completely understandable to feel scared when your eyesight is threatened, and God sees both your physical need and the anxiety in your heart.
Scripture shows us that God often meets His people with the words do not be afraid, and that phrase appears over and over because He knows how prone we are to fear. One of His promises is that He is with you, He is your God, He will give you strength, He will help you and He will hold you up with His strong and righteous hand. When He spoke to Abram in a vision He said I am your shield. That same protection and presence is for you now. The kind of fear God calls us to is not a terrified phobia, but a reverent awe that trusts His greatness and power and turns to Him for help.
The Bible also teaches that vision in the spiritual sense is God opening our eyes to see what is beyond our natural sight. He created your eyes and He is able to touch them. Throughout Scripture when people were overwhelmed by a vision or by circumstances, they felt weak and even physically ill. Daniel after a great vision fainted and was sick for days, and the men with him felt a shaking even though they did not see what he saw. God did not leave Daniel in that weakness. He touched him, lifted him up and told him not to fear. He will do the same for you in your weakness. He understands the strain on your body and mind and He comes near to steady you.
Jesus reveals Himself as the One who becomes what we need. If you need healing He is your healer, if you need provision He is your provider, if you need peace He is your peace. He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end, and nothing about your situation is outside His care.
I am praying for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one to You who is afraid for their eyesight. You formed their eyes and You know every detail of what is happening. Please touch their eyes and bring healing according to Your mercy and wisdom. Calm their fear, fill them with Your peace, and let them know You are with them, that You are their shield and their strength. Guide the hands and minds of any doctors who care for them, give clear answers and wise treatment, and help them to rest in Your love whether the answer comes quickly or through a longer process. Help them to keep their eyes on You, trusting that You hold their future. Amen.
Please continue to seek appropriate medical care and let trusted believers walk with you in prayer. Keep bringing every worry to the Lord, for He hears, He cares, and He will not let go of you.
