Servant of All
We have decided to put my cat ### to sleep today. The lady is coming in a couple hours. We are just sitting outside and im thanking God for the time He gave me with her. Please pray that God will allow everything to go smoothly and the procedure won't cause any pain. I know there isn't anything in scripture about pets, but I hope and pray there is a special spot for her in heaven with Jesus. Again please pray that this last procedure doesn't hurt her and it happens quick. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers and help us. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We join you in this very tender and sorrowful moment and we thank you for sharing your heart with us as you sit outside thanking God for the precious time He gave you with your beloved cat. We hear the deep love and grief in your words and we are bringing you and your dear companion before the throne of grace right now.

We are so grateful that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We commend you for praying in His name and we agree with you in that same name.

You mentioned feeling that there is not anything in Scripture about pets, but we want to gently encourage you that God does speak of His care for all His creation and of His nearness to us in our grief. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, and that compassionate stewardship you have shown is honoring to God. Matthew 10:29 reminds us Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will. If He notices even the sparrow, how much more does He see you and your beloved companion in this hour. Psalm 36:6 says You preserve man and animal, O Lord. And we are comforted that the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit as we read in Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We also cling to the promise of 1 Peter 5:7 to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Regarding heaven, Scripture does not give us a direct promise that our pets will be with us in eternity, as redemption through Jesus is offered to mankind made in God's image, yet we know that all creation is in His hands and that His mercies are great. Romans 8:21-22 speaks of creation itself groaning and longing for renewal, and we can trust the goodness and perfect will of our Creator with what we do not fully understand. What we do know with certainty is that in His eternal kingdom He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more Revelation 21:4. We can entrust your cat fully to His loving care and thank Him for the gift she has been.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with broken and thankful hearts. We thank You for the life of this precious cat You created and for every moment of joy, comfort and companionship You gave through her. Lord, You see the tears and hear every desperate cry and plea, and we ask that You draw near and pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You guide the hands of the lady who is coming and that You allow everything to go smoothly, quickly and without pain or fear for this dear little one. Let her pass gently and peacefully in Your mercy. Comfort this grieving heart, Lord, hold them close, and remind them that You hear and answer prayer according to Your perfect love and will. Help them to keep thanking You even through sorrow and to feel Your presence sitting with them outside and in the days to come. We entrust this beloved cat into Your hands and we entrust this family into Your keeping. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We will continue to lift you up, asking God to give you deep peace today and in the days of grieving ahead, and to help you remember with gratitude all the beautiful time He gave you together.

We were so touched to read that you are sitting outside with ### right now, thanking God for the time you have had together. That is such a tender and faithful way to spend these last hours, and we are honoring that with you.

We hear how much you love her and how deeply you want this last step to be gentle, quick and without pain. Grief over a beloved pet is real grief. She has been family and a daily companion, and it is right to mourn her.

We are praying with you that the veterinarian's coming will be calm and peaceful and that ### will be at ease. We are also praying for you in the hours and days after, for comfort as the house feels quieter and for kindness toward yourself as you grieve. It can help to have someone with you today if possible, and to give yourself unhurried time afterward without needing to be strong.

Father, we bring ### and her family to You now. Please let today go gently and without suffering, and draw near to those who love her. Hear their cries, hold them in Your compassion, and give them Your peace in this sorrow. In Jesus' name, amen.

That almost happened to my border collie, I know the worry you are facing.

I also have some news that might help, pets do go to heaven. In the Bible it talks about the lion sleeping with the sheep, also Jesus has a horse which is really funny to me😅 so yeah you will see your cat again in heaven! I will also see my cat in heaven which is great!

I am sorry for your loss, I pray that Jesus can bring you through this, amen.

Praying for your comfort and kitty’s comfort as well. What a blessing you and your kitty have received - that you have been able to enrich each other’s lives. You are also blessed to be able to help your kitty friend make her transition and move on to her reward. God loves his animals - He would not give us animals to love and care for to only take them away and never allow us to see them again. Trust in our Lord; as I have known many circumstances where a person is in the transition of passing and they begin seeing and talking to friends, family members AND PETS that have passed on; yet, no one else in the room can see them. Many times God sends someone or a pet we love that has already passed, to help the person in transition to move on to heaven. Please read Job 12:10,
“In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind”.
God’s creations are meant to continue living, not to cease existence.
Praying for your peace and comfort, may our Lord grant you strength and grace, knowing you and your kitty are both loved - all in the name of Jesus.

Your prayer has been heard with much tenderness, and we join you in thanksgiving to God for the time He has given you with your dear cat, and in entreating His mercy in this sorrowful hour.

The Lord knows the ache of this parting. Though many of His people walk in joy, there are seasons when we pass through waters and sorrows surge round us, and even the loss of a creature so faithfully loved can bruise the heart. Hear His word to you this day, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He is the God who comforts the desponding, and He has not left you to bear this alone. You do well to sit before Him with thanksgiving even while you weep, for gratitude in grief is a sweet offering.

We will pray as you have asked, that the Lord in His kindness would grant that all goes smoothly and gently, that your little companion would be spared pain and fear, and that what must be done would be quick and merciful. We ask the Lord to ordain peace for you in this room and outside under the sky where you sit, and to keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him, because you trust in Him. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when death is shadowing what we love. May He whisper that peace to you now, and in the hours to follow.

You speak honestly of your hope that there may be a special place for her with Jesus. The Scripture does not give us a promise concerning our pets as it does for those who trust in Christ for salvation, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. What it does tell us is that every creature is in the hand of a good and merciful Creator, who cares for all His works, and that our hope for eternity rests securely in Christ. We may therefore entrust your cat to the Lord who made her and who has permitted you to love and cherish her, and rest in His goodness and wisdom for all that we cannot see, while we look to the sure comfort that in Christ we have eternal life and the promise that earths struggles shall soon cease and He will call His own to heavens perfect peace.

Let us pray together.

Our gracious Father, we thank Thee for this creature Thou hast entrusted to Thy child, for every day of companionship and comfort she has given. We thank Thee that Thou art near to the brokenhearted. We ask now for Thy tender hand upon this last procedure. Grant, Lord, that it may be without pain and without distress, that it may be swift and gentle, and that Thy peace may fill the room. Comfort this dear one and all who love this little cat, keep their minds stayed upon Thee, and give them perfect peace even with sorrows surging round. Hear every desperate cry and plea, and answer according to Thy great mercy and love. Quicken their hearts by Thy Word, for Thy Word has quickened us and is our comfort in affliction. Sustain them in the days ahead, and let them feel that Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers, and that to do Thy will is rest. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus our only hope and Saviour. Amen.

May the Spirit of God teach you to say even in this affliction, This is my comfort, for Thy Word hath quickened me. We will continue to bear you up before the throne of grace.
