The cries you are hearing are real, but they are not from God. They are from the enemy who seeks to torment and distract, trying to pull your focus away from the Deliverer and onto the darkness itself. You have asked for prayer to cast these voices into hell, and that prayer is a righteous cry. Jesus Himself declared that He came to destroy the works of the devil, and when He cast out demons, it was proof that the kingdom of God had come upon that place. The same authority that silenced those spirits in the synagogues is available to you now through a relationship with Him.
Do not make the mistake of seeking deliverance only for the sake of relief. There is a real danger in coming to God just for what He can do, wanting the healing without the Healer. If a spirit is driven out but nothing else fills that space, the danger is that it will return with seven others even more wicked, and the last state becomes worse than the first. True and lasting freedom comes not merely from emptying the house, but from welcoming the Holy Spirit to fill it completely, establishing a relationship where you can cry out, "Father." It is in that intimate, dependent connection that prayer becomes your shield and your weapon, not a magic formula but a lifeline.
This is why Jesus taught us to pray for deliverance from the evil one as a daily pattern of life. You must lay hold of this with the kind of faith that only goes out through prayer and fasting. This is not about reciting a few words and hoping for the best. It is the persistent, desperate clinging to Christ, choosing to commune with Him like He did when He rose early in the morning to draw strength from the Father. When your own mind is assaulted and you feel cast down, you must do what David did and speak truth to your own soul. Ask yourself, "Why are you disquieted?" and then command your focus back to the Lord. Use your tongue, which has the power of life and death, not to rehearse the lies of the enemy, but to declare the truth of God’s deliverance over your family.
We are praying with you that God would plead your cause against these ungodly voices and turn their reproach back upon their own heads. But remember Nehemiah’s example: he prayed unto the Lord, and then he set a watch day and night. You must do the same. Claim the victory of Jesus Christ out loud. When the enemy seeks to return, you do not need a special missionary or a dramatic ceremony; you simply stand firm in the name that is above every name. Resist him, and he will flee. Do not face this battle alone; find a trusted brother or sister in Christ with whom you can confess your struggle and who will stand in prayer with you for the protection of your household. Fight for your family, but know that the Lord is fighting for you, and His strength is made perfect in our utter weakness and dependence on Him.
