Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me I struggle with these demons that say disgusting things to me. I’m sick and tired of it. Please pray God rebukes, curses, shuns, and destroys them. Also please pray God gives me and my wife more of a hunger for scripture and life. Thank you and God bless

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who came to destroy the works of the devil. The voices you describe are not from God, they are lies from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus has already disarmed these powers through His death and resurrection, and in His name, we command every demonic influence to be silenced and cast out. "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). You are not alone in this battle, and we take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, to cut down every lying accusation against you.

We also lift up your marriage, asking the Lord to ignite in both you and your wife a fresh hunger for His Word and a deeper intimacy with Him. The psalmist declares, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). May the Holy Spirit stir in your hearts a passion to seek Him daily, to meditate on Scripture, and to walk in the fullness of life that Christ offers. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and as you both draw nearer to God, your bond will be strengthened in ways that reflect His love and faithfulness.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We rebuke every demonic spirit that has been tormenting our brother with vile and disgusting words. By the blood of Jesus, we break every chain, silence every lying voice, and command these spirits to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask You to kindle a fire in the hearts of this couple for Your Word. Open their eyes to see the wonders in Your law (Psalm 119:18), and give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness that can only be satisfied by You (Matthew 5:6). May they seek You together, growing in wisdom, love, and unity as they study Scripture and apply it to their lives. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let it be a testimony of Your grace and power.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We trust in Your promises and stand on Your Word, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear brother. The enemy may roar, but he is a defeated foe. Stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and remember that "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Keep pressing into God’s presence, and surround yourself with believers who can pray and stand with you. Your wife is a gift from the Lord, and as you both seek Him together, He will draw you closer to each other and to Himself. You are not defined by these attacks, you are defined by the love and victory of Jesus Christ. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and trust that God is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).

We hear how exhausting this has been, the relentless mental assault, the spiritual weight of it. When a struggle keeps coming day after day, it wears you down in ways that go deeper than words sometimes capture. We're standing with you, and we're glad you reached out.

One thing that might help steady you in the moment these thoughts come: consider speaking directly to the voice, not just about it in prayer. Something as simple as, "I belong to Jesus Christ. You have no place here." You don't need to argue with it or analyze what it's saying, just shut the door. The authority isn't in the volume or the formula of your words but in the name you're standing on. Over time, that repeated, quiet stand can starve the intrusion of the attention it feeds on.

On the hunger for Scripture you mentioned, for you and your wife, sometimes we wait for the feeling of hunger before we eat, but the body of Christ actually works the other way around. We eat, and the appetite follows. Could the two of you pick something very small and doable together, maybe just a few verses from one of the Gospels before bed, read aloud, with no pressure to have a profound takeaway? The goal isn't to master the text but to let it become a shared rhythm, something you turn toward together even on tired days. The consistency itself, over weeks and months, awakens something.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to silence the voice of the accuser in this man's mind. Let Your peace stand guard over his thoughts. Cover his wife as well, and draw them both into a steady, simple love for Your Word, not as a duty but as a place of safety. Renew what the enemy has tried to drain. In Your name we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out against the foul suggestions that torment your soul, and this very hatred of them is a token for good. The darkness you endure is a darkness of sorrow, and the enemy would use it to plunge you into despair; yet remember, the darkness of ignorance is past, for you know the light of the Gospel. But deliverance from the power of sin, and these vile whisperings are sin’s poison, must be sought from your heavenly Father alone. Look not to your own strength to curse or destroy these demons; God alone can rebuke them, and He will, for He has already delivered you from the dominion of darkness and translated you into the kingdom of His dear Son.

This deliverance is not merely from the guilt of sin, but from its reigning power. And here is the experimental proof: the true child of God cannot go into sin by way of pleasure; your weariness and your cry are the groans of a new nature that loathes the very presence of evil. As you look to Christ for justification, so look to Him for sanctification. Pray not only for the rebuke of the adversary, but for such a filling of the Spirit that these intruders find no chamber in your heart.

Your plea for a hunger after Scripture is itself the stirring of grace; feed upon the Word, and it shall be a sword to drive back the darkness. Be of good cheer: He who has begun this good work in you will perfect it; the darkest hour is just before the dawn, and the Lord shall yet cause you and your wife to walk in the light of His countenance with joyful appetite for His truth.

You do well to recognize these foul whispers as the assaults of the evil one. When such thoughts arise, do not parley with them, but turn at once to prayer, that great weapon which no demon can withstand. The Name of Jesus, called upon from a pure heart, is a tower unshaken; the enemy flees where that Name is honored. So arm yourself early each day with supplication, and go forth into the battle with God made propitious to you. But let your own lips speak no curse, for vengeance belongs to the Lord. It is enough to cry out that He rebuke them, and His rebuke alone suffices to scatter the hosts of darkness.

If you would see them wholly driven off, then let the Scriptures become your daily bread. A soul that hungers and thirsts after righteousness will be filled; it becomes a river of living water, and no demon can abide that flood. I rejoice that you ask for this holy hunger for yourself and your wife. Kindle that desire by reading together, by meditating on the divine oracles until their sweetness deadens the taste for sin. And do not forsake the assembling of yourselves with the brethren, for in the bond of peace and the gathering of the faithful you will find comfort and strength. Bind yourself to your wife in this common love of the Word, and let your prayers be joined with alms and works of mercy, for when you fill Christ in the person of the poor, the light of charity chases away every shadow of the enemy.

Pray, then, with confidence. God’s grace works with our own earnest striving. He who has freed you from greater ills by grace alone will also deliver you from these lesser attacks, now that you are becoming His friend. Stand fast in patience, nourished by the hope that Scripture supplies, and the demons will find no lodging in you.

Your struggle is real, and the disgust you feel at those vile, invasive thoughts makes perfect sense. Demonic spirits do speak lies, and when they fill the mind with filth and accusation, it is exhausting and maddening. But take heart: Jesus has absolute authority over every unclean spirit. In Scripture we see demons trembling and begging not to be sent to the abyss before the appointed time. They know His voice, they know their end, and they must obey Him. So when you cry out for God to rebuke, curse, and destroy them, you are asking for something He delights to do. He will silence them in His way and in His time, and no torment from the enemy can snatch you out of His hand.

When the assault comes, do not simply listen or argue. Follow the pattern of deliverance we see again and again: call upon the name of Jesus. There are modern cases of severe demonic oppression where a person was bitten and attacked by spirits, yet when they returned and tried to overpower her, she claimed the victory of Christ aloud and was set completely free. The demons could not withstand the name of the Lord. So speak it. Say, “Jesus, You are Lord over every unclean thought. I take refuge in Your blood and Your cross. Leave me in His name.” Refuse to entertain the words. Fix your eyes on His power rather than on the darkness, because if you stare too long at the enemy’s activity, unbelief can creep in and make the problem seem larger than your Deliverer.

Remember too that when God rebukes, He does so out of mercy, not condemnation. His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways rise far above ours. He understands the origin of every thought before it ever forms in your mind. So He knows exactly what these spirits whisper, and He knows how to shut them down in a way that brings lasting peace. Entrust the timing to Him, but actively resist in the authority He has given you. The enemy had to ask permission, and Christ has already disarmed every power that stands against you.

As for your hunger for Scripture and life, that is a beautiful and necessary prayer. The Word of God is pure, and when the heart is made pure by faith, all things become pure. A mind regularly washed by sound teaching is a defended mind. Ask the Lord together with your wife to ignite a fresh appetite for His voice. Read the Gospels, see how Jesus taught and cast out demons with authority, and let the Holy Spirit build that same authority into your own faith. When you both set your hearts on sound doctrine, the lies of the enemy lose their grip because the truth sets you free.

I will be praying that God rebukes every foul spirit harassing you and grants both of you a deepening desire for His Word. You are not alone, and you are not abandoned. Stand firm, keep your garments, and watch, because our Lord is coming as certainly as the dawn.
