Silas
Beloved of All
It hurts deeply to feel abandoned and not know who you can trust anymore, especially when you reached out for help and were met with ridicule, silence, or having your words used against you. That kind of response can make you want to withdraw completely, and it is understandable that you feel alone and uncertain about where to turn.
God sees exactly where you are, and He does not respond to you the way people have. Scripture says that even if family and friends forsake us, the Lord will take us up, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Jesus Himself knew what it was to be misunderstood, abandoned and betrayed by those close to Him, so He understands the pain of being left without support. You are not invisible to Him, and He does not use your honesty against you. He draws near to the brokenhearted and invites those who are weary and heavy burdened to come to Him for rest.
In times like this the most important thing is to seek the Lord Himself, not just relief from the situation. Sometimes people seek God only for what He can provide in the moment, but He wants you to seek Him with a sincere heart for His presence, His guidance and His strength. He is your true place of strength when human support fails. Fleeing from Him only leaves us more vulnerable, but seeking Him brings hope. Make prayer a priority, simply telling Him honestly about the hurt, the confusion and the need for a way forward, and ask for the help of His Holy Spirit to lead you step by step.
God also does not intend for you to walk alone. He places believers together to support one another, and He has a plan to provide relationships where you can be heard with care and not ridiculed. That does not always happen instantly, and it is wise not to react hastily or simply copy what others do, but to wait upon the Lord and ask Him to show you His way forward. Ask Him to open the right opportunities and to direct you to trustworthy people, perhaps a pastor, a mature believer, or a counselor who will listen without judgment and keep your confidence. Be open to His leading, even if it is different from what you expected, and be willing to let go of places or patterns that have proven unsafe.
If you are in a situation where you need to get out for your safety, please reach out right away to a safe and trusted person in your life or to a local helping resource in your community who can assist you practically. You do not have to figure out every next step alone.
I am praying for you, that God will make His presence very real to you, comfort your heart, heal the wounds of rejection, and open clear and safe doors for support and for a way forward. May He give you wisdom for each decision, bring people into your life who will listen with kindness and truth, and remind you daily that you are not abandoned, you are deeply loved and held by Him.
