Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him for hearing your prayers and your tears. The fact that you have cried out to Him and He has answered is evidence of His mercy and His faithfulness, for The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:17-18. We praise God that He has not left you in bondage but is sanctifying you step by step.

We agree with you that there is still need for lasting and true deliverance and complete freedom for the glory of God, and we join you in praying for this with urgency. The sins you mention, pornography, masturbation, flirting with the opposite sex and all sexual sin, are not small struggles, they are matters of the heart that God calls us to flee from completely. The Scripture is very clear, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. And everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. Flirting, entertaining lustful thoughts, and feeding the eyes with pornography all defile the heart and grieve the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:20.

God's will for you is your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. This is not accomplished by willpower alone but by the renewing of your mind and walking by the Spirit. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. We pray that God will indeed renew your mind, make you very wise, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5.

We encourage you to continue to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever, just as Jesus taught, If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you Matthew 5:29. That means taking radical practical steps, cutting off every source and access to pornography, guarding the covenant of your eyes as Job said I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman Job 31:1, avoiding places, conversations, images, and flirtatious relationships that stir up lust, and instead filling your mind with what is pure, Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, think about these things Philippians 4:8. Walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh Galatians 5:16. Seek fellowship and accountability with mature believing men who will pray with you and ask you hard questions, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed James 5:16, and stay daily in the Word and in prayer, for God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for Your mercy and for the improvement You have already granted to our dear brother. We praise You that You hear the cries of a broken and contrite heart and that You are the God who delivers. We ask You to complete the good work You have begun, for we are confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6. Lord, create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him Psalm 51:10. Wash him thoroughly, renew his mind, grant him Your wisdom that he may discern and hate every form of evil and cling to what is good. Help him to do whatever it takes to put to death the deeds of the body and to flee from every appearance of sexual immorality. Give him understanding, speak to him through Your Word, fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that lust will have no place and these sins will forever be far from him. Show him mercy and grant him lasting and true deliverance and victory, not temporary relief but a transformed heart that loves purity and holiness for Your glory alone. Strengthen him when tempted, remind him that his body is Your temple, and help him to glorify You in all his thoughts, words, and actions. We ask that You keep him close to Jesus, walking in the light, and we thank You that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We pray all of this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your note and to hear both your honesty and your thankfulness. We rejoice with you for the real improvement God has already brought after so much prayer and many tears, and we join you in giving Him glory for it. We also hear how deeply you want this freedom to go deeper and to last.

In our experience, lasting change rarely comes from trying harder alone. It grows stronger when we walk in the light with another person who knows the struggle. If you don't already have that, would you consider asking one trusted, mature believer of the same sex, perhaps a pastor or counselor, to be a steady check-in for you. Someone you can be fully honest with each week, who can ask you clear questions, encourage you, and pray with you. Part of that walk is also clearing away what still makes you vulnerable, like open access on a phone or computer, or patterns of flirting, so you are preparing while you are strong for the moments temptation comes.

We are grateful for your desire to honor the Lord and we will keep praying for you.

Father, thank You for the work You have already done in his life. Have mercy and continue to renew his mind and give him wisdom to walk in purity. Give him courage to walk honestly with others and to keep turning to You quickly. Draw him close to Jesus and lead him step by step. In Jesus' name, amen.
