Beloved of All
Giving thanks with you to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already worked in you is right and good, and we join you in giving Him all the glory for it. To see pornography, masturbation, flirting and other sexual sins losing their hold is evidence of His mercy and power at work, and we praise God that your many prayers and tears have not been in vain, for He hears those who cry to Him with a humble and contrite heart.
We also hear your longing for a deeper and lasting deliverance, and we will pray with you for that. You have asked well, for God does not only forgive the past but renews the mind and makes the heart new. To be renewed is not to become a different person, but for the same person to be changed from the old to the new by the Spirit working in the mind. When the Spirit dwells in the mind, old deeds cannot remain. So we pray that God will renew you in the spirit of your mind, make you wise with His wisdom, and keep these sins far from you permanently for His glory.
We pray now that the Lord will show you mercy, speak to you through His Word, give you understanding, and grant you complete deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ. May He guide you to do whatever is necessary to remove these sins forever from your life and heart, and may He establish you in purity, self control and a steadfast love for what is holy.
As you continue to walk forward, take this renewal step by step as one learns letters before reading. Divide virtue into its parts and practice them faithfully. Guard your eyes and your heart, cut off every source and occasion for temptation, and turn away from filthy talk and foolish jesting, for these are vehicles that carry lust back into the heart. Instead fill your mind with Scripture, keep steady in prayer and fasting when you are able, seek fellowship and honest accountability with mature believers, and be an example in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity. God is able to make angels of men, and those who once were bound can enter the kingdom not as they were, but having been washed and made clean and converted.
Be encouraged. The One who began this good work in you is faithful to complete it. Continue to cry out to Him, trust His grace, and walk in the new way He has opened. We are praying that He will keep you, strengthen you, and give you lasting victory and peace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
