Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him for hearing your prayers and your tears. He sees your crying and your earnest seeking, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. For we are confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6.

We want to speak clearly and lovingly about these sins, because God calls us to holiness for His glory. Pornography, masturbation, flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly boundaries, and all sexual sin are not small struggles, they are sexual immorality that God calls us to flee. The Scripture says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. And we are told to Flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, 2 Timothy 2:22. These things feed lust of the eyes and lust of the flesh, they defile the heart and the mind, and they grieve the Holy Spirit. We rebuke these sins together with you, not to condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, but to agree with God that they must be put to death and removed forever, so that you may walk in purity and freedom.

We also praise God that you desire lasting and true victory and not just temporary relief, and that your motive is the glory of God. That is the right heart. True deliverance comes not by willpower alone, but by being transformed through the renewing of your mind and by walking by the Spirit. We encourage you to continue to pursue this transformation daily. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God, Romans 12:2. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. This means guarding your eyes and your heart, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and filling your mind with what is pure and holy. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things, Philippians 4:8. We encourage you to cut off every source of temptation without compromise, to bring your struggle into the light with a mature Christian brother or pastor for accountability, to immerse yourself daily in the Word and in prayer, and to remember that sexual intimacy is a gift reserved for marriage between a man and a woman for a lifetime, so that outside of that holy covenant we are called to live in purity and self control. If you stumble, do not remain in shame, but quickly confess. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me, Psalm 51:10.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for the mercy and deliverance You have already shown to our brother. Thank You for hearing his prayers and collecting his tears, and for beginning this work of cleansing. Lord, we ask that You help him and guide him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Grant him godly wisdom and understanding, renew his mind, and make him very wise to discern and to flee every temptation. Speak to him, show him Your mercy, and grant him full deliverance. Purify his heart, wash him clean by the blood of Jesus, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that these sins will forever be far from him. Teach him to love purity, to hate what is evil, and to walk in the freedom and holiness that brings glory to Your name. Strengthen him when he is weak, lift him when he is tempted, and let his life be a testimony of Your power to save and to sanctify. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your note and hear about the improvement you have seen. Thank you for sharing both the progress and the honest longing for lasting freedom. We join you in giving thanks to Jesus for what He has already done, and we hear how much you have poured out your heart in prayer and tears for what remains.

Wanting these patterns to be far from you for good is a good and right desire. In our experience, lasting change grows not only from sincere prayer in private, but also from not walking alone. Temptation often thrives in isolation and loses strength when brought into the light with another trusted person.

One practical step that helps many is to invite one mature, same-sex believer, pastor, or a small Christian support group to be a regular, honest check-in for you, someone who can ask how you are doing, pray with you, and help you notice triggers early. If you do not have that person yet, consider asking your pastor to help you find that kind of steady support.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, we thank You for the work You have already begun in our friend's life. We ask for Your mercy, for a renewed mind and clear wisdom to walk away from what harms, and for daily strength to choose what honors You. Draw near, give understanding and steady deliverance, and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in giving all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the mercy He has already shown you, and we rejoice to hear that there has been great improvement. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights, and when any measure of deliverance from sin is wrought in us, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive. Give Him all the praise, and take courage from it, for He who has begun a good work will perfect it.

You have prayed and cried much, and you still feel your need of a more lasting and true deliverance, that your heart and mind may be kept far from these sins for the glory of God. Hear the gracious word of the Lord, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom." Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom Himself. It is a gift of Divine Love. The King's own Son has borne the penalty of all our iniquities, and God has given commandment to save you, and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins.

Know this, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. If you are to be truly free, it must be Christ who makes you free, for He has delivered us from the power of darkness. You must look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for this sanctifying work, and cry to Him daily to preserve you from evil and to keep you unspotted from the world.

The Lord has chastened you sorely, and it is well to see His fatherly hand even in this painful struggle. He kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, not to destroy you, but to make the sharp smart profitable. And your conduct after affliction and after deliverance should be to live and declare the works of the Lord. Therefore keep yourself from the spots of the world. Turn away from that which would ensnare you. When you find that which is loose or unclean, leave it and get away from it. You do not need to be muddied. Flee youthful lusts and those occasions of flirting and impurity which so easily beset you, and ask the Lord to teach you the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, so that temptation may in vain allure you.

Let us pray with you and for you, that God will be gracious unto you according to His promise.

O Lord our God, we thank Thee for what Thou hast already done in this soul by the power of Thy grace, and we ask Thee to perfect that which concerneth him. Work in him a renewed mind, and make him very wise with that wisdom which comes from above. Show him mercy, speak to him, give him understanding and full deliverance from pornography, masturbation and all sexual sin, and from every unclean desire of the heart. Keep back his soul from the Pit and his life from perishing. Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for Thou hast found a ransom in the precious blood of Jesus Christ Thy Son. Cause him to hate sin and to love holiness, to keep himself unspotted from the world, and to walk in purity before Thee. Let this lasting change be for Thy glory alone, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We give thanks with you for the improvement God has already worked in your life, and we give all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for it. Your tears and prayers are not forgotten before Him. He hears those who cry out with a humble and contrite heart, and He is merciful to forgive, to cleanse, and to make new.

There is hope for lasting freedom. Scripture shows that those who once lived in sexual sin entered the kingdom not by remaining as they were, but by being washed, purified and converted through faith in Christ. That same grace is at work in you now. God does not only forgive the past, He renews the mind and teaches the heart to love purity.

Let us pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You for the work You have already begun in this dear soul. We ask for Your mercy and for complete deliverance. Wash the heart, renew the mind, and grant wisdom to walk in purity. Take away every desire that leads away from You and plant instead a love for holiness, for temperance, and for righteousness. Give understanding of Your Word, strength to turn away from temptation, and power to stand firm when tested. Keep this life far from fornication, uncleanness, and every form of lust, and draw it ever closer to Christ, in whom alone there is salvation. Make the deliverance lasting and true, for Your glory. Amen.

Continue to walk step by step as one learning a new way of life. As you would learn letters one by one, so learn virtues one by one. Guard your eyes and your thoughts, and remove whatever stirs lust, whether images, conversations, or careless joking and flirting that feed it. Make no provision for the flesh, but fill your mind with Scripture, with prayer, and with honest fellowship with faithful believers who can encourage you and hold you accountable. When temptation comes, flee from it quickly and turn at once to Christ, remembering that God promises a way of escape for those who trust Him.

Do not be discouraged if the battle continues for a time. God often allows testing not to destroy us but to teach us to despise sin and to love immortality and purity more deeply. Stay meek and watchful before Him, confessing sin quickly, receiving His forgiveness, and asking Him daily to form in you a clean heart and a right spirit.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep you, make you wise in His ways, and establish you in lasting purity and peace in Christ.
