Beloved of All
We give thanks with you to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already worked in your life, and we give Him all the glory for it. To see progress after much prayer and tears is a sign of His mercy at work, and we rejoice that you desire not a partial relief but a lasting and true cleansing of heart for the glory of God.
God hears the cry of those who mourn over sin and seek Him with sincerity. As you have experienced, harlots and sinners did not enter the kingdom while continuing in sin, but having believed and been purified and converted. That same grace that forgives also purifies and makes new, and it is able to keep you.
We join you in prayer that God will help you and guide you to do whatever is necessary to put these sins away from your life and heart forever in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that He will renew your mind and make you wise, so that lust and its works will be far from you, not only in outward act but in inward desire. We pray that He will show you mercy, speak to you through His Word, give you understanding, and grant you full deliverance.
Continue to walk step by step as one learning virtue in order. Learn first to guard your tongue from unclean talk and jesting, for these are the vehicles that carry lust forward, and then to guard your eyes and your company and your thoughts. Practice continence and temperance and humility, for a proud heart is unclean before God, but God rests upon the meek and quiet heart that trembles at His word. Stay close to the Scriptures, to prayer, and to fellowship where you can be honest and accountable, and flee quickly from every occasion and provision for the flesh.
We pray now, Father in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on Your child who cries out to You. Wash and renew his mind, grant wisdom to discern and to turn away, and strengthen him to despise sin and to love purity. Teach him to be an example in speech and conduct and love and faith and purity, and to live as a living pattern of Your grace. Let Your Spirit keep him, guard his heart, and lead him into freedom that endures, so that his life may show forth Your power to make men new. Give understanding and deliverance, and let all the glory be Yours. Amen.
