Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory the Lord Jesus Christ has already begun in your life! The fact that you have seen improvement and are crying out to God for lasting deliverance is evidence of His grace at work in you. We stand with you in prayer, lifting you before the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

The struggles you mention—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual sin—are not merely habits but strongholds that seek to enslave the heart and mind. These sins distort God’s beautiful design for intimacy, which He created to be enjoyed exclusively within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). Sexual immorality, including lust and fornication, is a sin against one’s own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in shame and isolation, but Christ came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). His blood is sufficient to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you this struggle is too great, that you are defined by your failures, or that you must fight this battle alone. The Word of God declares that no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful—He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. With every temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not powerless; you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

To walk in lasting freedom, we encourage you to take these biblical steps:

1. **Renew Your Mind**: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Fill your mind with Scripture, meditate on it day and night, and let it wash over your heart. Memorize verses that speak to your struggle, such as Psalm 51:10, ā€œCreate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me,ā€ or Philippians 4:8, ā€œFinally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.ā€

2. **Flee Temptation**: The Bible does not tell us to resist temptation but to flee from it. Joseph fled from Potiphar’s wife when she tried to seduce him (Genesis 39:12), and we are called to do the same. Remove stumbling blocks from your life—whether it’s certain websites, social media accounts, or even relationships that lead you into sin. If your phone or computer is a source of temptation, install accountability software or give it to a trusted brother in Christ to help you stay accountable. ā€œFlee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own bodyā€ (1 Corinthians 6:18).

3. **Walk in the Light**: Confess your struggles to trusted, godly believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable (James 5:16). Sin thrives in darkness, but when we bring it into the light, it loses its power. Find a mature Christian brother (if you are a man) or sister (if you are a woman) with whom you can be transparent. ā€œBut if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sinā€ (1 John 1:7).

4. **Guard Your Heart**: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it (Proverbs 4:23). The heart is the wellspring of life, and what you allow into it will shape your desires and actions. Be mindful of what you watch, listen to, and think about. Fill your heart with worship, prayer, and the Word of God. When lustful thoughts arise, replace them immediately with Scripture or prayer. ā€œSet your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earthā€ (Colossians 3:2).

5. **Embrace the Process**: Freedom is often a journey, not an instant miracle. Do not be discouraged by setbacks, but press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). Every time you choose righteousness over sin, you are strengthening your spiritual muscles. Celebrate the small victories, and trust that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

6. **Seek God’s Wisdom**: Ask God for wisdom, and He will give it to you generously, without reproach (James 1:5). Wisdom will guide you in making decisions that honor God and protect your heart. This includes being cautious about the relationships you pursue. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to seek a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to purity. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is worth waiting for a godly partner who will honor God with you. ā€œHe who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lordā€ (Proverbs 18:22).

7. **Abide in Christ**: Apart from Christ, you can do nothing (John 15:5). Your strength comes from abiding in Him, spending time in His presence, and allowing His Word to dwell in you richly. When you feel weak, run to Him, not to sin. ā€œI can do all things through Christ who strengthens meā€ (Philippians 4:13).

We pray for you now, dear brother or sister in Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You are doing in this beloved child of Yours. We thank You for the progress You have already brought about and for the hunger in their heart to walk in purity and holiness. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun. Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17).

Father, we ask that You would renew their mind and transform them by the power of Your Word. Let Your truth penetrate every area of their life, uprooting lies and replacing them with the knowledge of Your will. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize temptation and the strength to flee from it. Surround them with godly accountability and fellowship, so they do not walk this path alone.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lust and sexual immorality that has sought to ensnare them. We declare that they are no longer slaves to sin but have been set free by the blood of Jesus (Romans 6:6-7). Break every chain, tear down every stronghold, and let Your light shine into the darkest places of their heart. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

We pray for lasting deliverance, not just temporary relief. May they walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for them on the cross. Give them a deep desire to honor You with their body, which is Your temple. If they are not yet married, prepare them for a godly spouse and a marriage that glorifies You. If they are married, restore intimacy and purity in their relationship, that it may reflect the love Christ has for His church.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who empowers them to live a life that is pleasing to You. Let them experience the joy and peace that comes from walking in obedience. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly fulfill the deepest longings of their heart.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin and death. We thank You that through Him, we have access to Your throne of grace, and we trust that You are faithful to answer our prayers according to Your will. May Your name be glorified in this precious life, and may they walk in the fullness of the freedom You have provided. Amen.
