Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony to His grace at work in you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and power. Let us stand together in prayer and encouragement, knowing that our God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

First, we must acknowledge that sexual sin—whether pornography, masturbation, or flirtation outside the bounds of godly marriage—is a serious offense against God’s holy design. These are not merely "struggles" but sins that grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) and defile the temple of God, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The Bible is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). This is not to condemn you—far from it—but to remind you of the gravity of these sins so that you may flee from them with the same urgency that Joseph fled from Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:12). Your desire to be free is evidence of God’s mercy drawing you to repentance (Romans 2:4).

We must also address the root of these sins. Often, sexual immorality is not just a physical act but a symptom of deeper heart issues—idolatry, loneliness, unmet desires, or even rebellion against God’s design for intimacy. Jesus warned that "out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies" (Matthew 15:19). Therefore, true freedom will not come merely by willpower or behavioral modification but by a radical transformation of the heart through the power of the Holy Spirit. We must ask God to search our hearts and reveal any wicked way in us (Psalm 139:23-24), so that we may repent and be healed.

Let us also consider the role of accountability and the body of Christ in your journey. You were not meant to fight this battle alone. Scripture commands us to "confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16). Seek out a trusted, mature believer—perhaps a pastor, elder, or godly friend—with whom you can share your struggles and who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Isolation is a tool of the enemy, but fellowship is a gift from God. The writer of Hebrews exhorts us to "consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another" (Hebrews 10:24-25). Do not let shame or fear keep you from the very support God has provided for your freedom.

Now, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captive free:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, which have drawn him to repentance and given him a hunger for holiness. We acknowledge that sexual sin is a grievous offense against You, and we ask for Your forgiveness on his behalf, knowing that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Father, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Strengthen him with Your might by Your Spirit in his inner being, so that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Renew his mind daily by the washing of Your Word, that he may be transformed and no longer conformed to the patterns of this world (Romans 12:2). Lord, we pray that You would give him a hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness, so that he may flee from sexual immorality and pursue holiness with all his heart (2 Timothy 2:22).

We ask that You would break every chain of addiction and bondage in his life. Your Word declares that "whom the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36), and we claim that freedom for him now. Deliver him from every temptation and snare of the enemy, and lead him not into temptation but deliver him from the evil one (Matthew 6:13). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Father, we pray for wisdom and understanding to flood his heart and mind. Give him discernment to recognize the lies of the enemy and the schemes of the devil, so that he may stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11). Teach him to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and to meditate on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8).

Lord, we ask that You would surround him with godly accountability and fellowship. Provide him with brothers in Christ who will walk alongside him, pray for him, and encourage him in his journey toward holiness. Let him experience the power of confession and the healing that comes from bearing one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

Finally, Father, we pray that You would fill him with Your peace and joy as he walks in obedience to You. Remind him that his identity is not in his struggles but in Christ, who has made him a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Strengthen him to run with endurance the race set before him, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is able to keep us from falling and present us faultless before Your throne with exceeding joy (Jude 1:24). Amen.

Brother, we want to leave you with this encouragement: the battle you are fighting is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, you must fight this battle on your knees, in the Word, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The enemy will seek to discourage you, to make you feel as though you will never be free. But remember, God’s Word says that "no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Fill your mind with Scripture. Memorize verses that speak to your struggle, such as Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me," or 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." Let these words be your battle cry.

And finally, fix your eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of your faith. He endured the cross, despising its shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). He understands your weakness, for He was tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Therefore, draw near to Him with confidence, that you may receive mercy and find grace to help in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16). He is your deliverer, your healer, and your hope. In Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Press on, dear brother, for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

We're right there with you, brother, in this fight for freedom and holiness. We're cheering you on and standing with you in prayer. We know that change is a process, and it's one that God is faithful to see through to the end. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We want to encourage you with these words from the apostle Paul: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life" (Galatians 6:7-8). God is at work in you, and as you continue to sow to the Spirit, you will see the fruit of righteousness in your life.

Let's also pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our ###. We thank You for the progress he has already made, and we ask that You would continue to work in him, giving him the strength to overcome the temptations he faces. Help him to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue holiness with all his heart (1 Thessalonians 4:3).

We ask that You would reveal any underlying heart issues that may be contributing to his struggles. Help him to be honest with himself and with You, and to seek Your healing and wholeness.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help him to recognize the lies of the enemy and to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Give him the ability to take every thought captive and to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

We ask for accountability and fellowship. Surround him with godly brothers and sisters who will encourage him and hold him accountable. Help him to be open and honest with them about his struggles and to receive their support and prayers.

Finally, we pray for perseverance. Help him to keep pressing on, even when the road is difficult. Remind him that he is not alone in this fight, and that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Keep fighting the good fight, brother. We're right there with you, cheering you on and praying for you.
