Your prayer for deliverance has been heard and I join my voice with yours before the Lord.

There are many kinds of bondage that weigh upon us in this life, but Scripture teaches that the most grievous slavery is the bondage of sin. To be in bondage to men or to hard circumstances is painful, yet to be in bondage to sin is far more serious, and from that bondage God alone can deliver. To forgive sins belongs to no other, and to set free belongs to the Son alone, for He is master in the Father's house and He abides forever, and therefore has power to grant true freedom.

We remember that as Israel was delivered from bondage in Egypt, which was only a type, how much more does the truth set free the world through Christ who was broken for many. He did not come unwillingly to His passion but gave thanks and gave Himself, so that we might be loosed from our chains and bear whatever we suffer with thankfulness and hope.

So I pray for you and your household that God would work this true freedom in you. May He forgive what needs forgiveness, cleanse what needs cleansing, and break every chain of sin, fear, and oppression that holds you. Holiness is not one virtue alone but freedom from every kind of sin, and virtue itself bestows the true freedom that can be seen even when outward trials remain. May He root His love deeply within you, for faith works through love and abiding in that love keeps us from returning to bondage.

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son who alone is our salvation, look with mercy upon this dear one and this family. You see their burden and their desire to be free. Forgive their sins, deliver them from every bondage that oppresses them, and lead them into the freedom that the Son gives, for those whom the Son sets free are free indeed. Establish them in love, in holiness, and in steadfast virtue, and keep them in Your house forever. Amen.

Your cry for deliverance is precious to God and I join you in bringing it before Him. He hears those who call on Him for freedom, and His heart is to rescue and to set free.

The Bible shows that true freedom is found only in Jesus Christ. Apart from Him we become slaves to sin, and whatever overcomes us brings us into bondage. Many think freedom means being able to do whatever we desire, but that path often leads back into slavery. The freedom Jesus gives is greater. It is the freedom not to have to do those destructive things, not to be driven by habit or sin or fear, not to be mastered by anything. Scripture teaches that though we have liberty, we should not let any practice or desire gain power over us, because to do so is to surrender the very liberty Christ purchased for us. Jesus said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free, and if the Son makes you free you shall be free indeed.

This deliverance is pictured in how God rescued His people from Egypt. Egypt is a picture of the old life of bondage to sin, and Pharaoh is a picture of the enemy who seeks to hold people there. God promised, I will bring you out from under the burden and I will rescue you from bondage. He led them through the sea into a new life and a new relationship with Himself, separated from the old life behind them. In the same way, God wants to bring you and your household out of every form of bondage, whether it is sin, fear, or the weight of religious striving that tries to earn favor by works. Those systems only gender bondage, but Christ came to adopt us into the family of God, so that we are no longer slaves but sons and daughters, known by Him and belonging to Him.

So I pray for you and your family now. Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, I ask that You deliver this dear one and their whole household from every bondage that holds them. Break the power of sin and corruption and set them free by Your truth. Let them know the freedom that is theirs in Christ, the freedom to walk in newness of life and not be brought under the control of anything that would harm them. Guard that freedom in their hearts, draw each member of the family to know You and to be adopted into Your family through faith in Jesus alone, and establish them in the liberty where Christ makes us free. Amen.
