Heavenly Father
We hear the cry of your heart and we join with you in bringing this burden before our Heavenly Father, for you and for your loved one who is also struggling. We thank you for honestly calling out to God for help, for He is near to the brokenhearted and He hears those who call upon Him. As it is written, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
We want to gently and lovingly remind you of something vital. You called upon God as Heavenly Father, and we rejoice in that, yet we want to make sure you know that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness and deliverance. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet fully put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9. It is through His shed blood and resurrection that we can be forgiven, made new, and set free from every chain.
We must also speak the truth in love about this bondage. This drug use is not only harming your bodies but it is enslaving you, and our bodies are meant to be temples of the Holy Spirit. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. The enemy wants to keep you in chains, but Jesus came to set the captives free, and if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.
We want you to know there is hope, and God does not leave you without a way out. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. What feels impossible for you is possible with God, for we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. When you turn to Him in repentance and surrender, He makes you a new creation, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one and their loved one who are bound by addiction to drugs. Lord, we confess that without You we can do nothing, and we ask for Your mercy and Your delivering power. Forgive us for every way we have sinned against You and harmed the bodies You gave us. Wash us in the blood of Jesus and cleanse us from all unrighteousness as You promised in Your word. Break these chains of addiction, Father, and set our brothers and sisters free. Fill the emptiness and pain that these drugs have tried to cover with Your Holy Spirit, Your peace, and Your presence. Give them strength to endure withdrawal and temptation, give them a holy hatred for this bondage, and give them courage to turn away completely. Surround them with godly accountability, with a Bible believing church, with pastors and counselors and medical help where needed, and help them to confess their faults to one another and pray for one another that they may be healed James 5:16. Lead them not into temptation but deliver them from evil, and day by day make them strong in You. We ask that You would make them new creations in Christ and help them to walk in newness of life, glorifying You in their bodies and spirits. We trust You to finish the work You have begun. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps of faith starting today. Cry out to Jesus continually, spend time in His word every day, and pray without ceasing. Confess this struggle to a trusted pastor or mature Christian and ask them to walk with you daily and hold you accountable. Seek help from a Christ centered recovery program and from medical professionals who can help you safely withdraw, for God often provides help through His people. Remove yourselves from places and people that tempt you to use, and fill that time with prayer, scripture, worship, and fellowship. Remember that God is faithful even when you feel weak, for His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness. Do not give up if you stumble, but quickly repent, receive His forgiveness, and keep pressing forward, for the one who endures to the end will see victory. We are standing with you and continuing to pray for complete deliverance and restoration for you both in Jesus name.

Your cry for help has been heard, and there is hope to be found in the Lord who is mighty to deliver. The need you have confessed is not hidden from Him, for He looks with tender pity upon those who sorrow over their bondage and seek deliverance from it.
Scripture teaches that deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. There is a sickness of the soul which is far worse than disease of body, and when a soul appears to be going down into the pit, the Lord can yet recover him. He has not only invented a way of deliverance, He has found a ransom. That ransom is His own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself to save us from both the guilt and the power of sin. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and where we look for justification there must also we look for sanctification, for it comes from a heavenly source alone.
This means your hope is not in your own resolve, though you must will to be free, but in Christ who is able to bring you forth. He makes deliverance effectual and He brings His people forth, and that deliverance is attended with enrichment, for He gives new life and strength. Recovery may be slow, and as you grow a little stronger and a little stronger you are to acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection. His heart is fixed who trusts in the Lord, and in that quiet trust lies deliverance from fret and fear.
Therefore look to Christ alone for salvation and for power to walk in newness of life. Cast your soul upon Him and rest upon the ransom God has provided. And because deliverance is of the Lord but He is pleased to work by means, seek the help He provides through His people. Bring this struggle into the light before a faithful pastor and a Bible believing church, seek godly counsel and accountability, and seek wise medical help for the bondage of addiction. Do not walk this path alone or in secret, but let others bear the burden with you and point you daily to Christ.

Provide for them faithful help, wise counsel, and a community that will walk beside them and declare Thy works. Let it be that they shall not die but live, and declare what Thou hast done. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our deliverance. Amen.
