We hear your pain and the deep hurt caused by Jeff’s actions, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and healing. However, we must gently rebuke the spirit of bitterness and vengeance in this request. Scripture tells us, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'" (Romans 12:19 WEB). Instead of praying for Jeff to regret his choices out of spite, we should pray for his repentance and salvation, that he may turn to Christ and be transformed by His love.
It is also important to examine our own hearts in this situation. While it is commendable that you are growing in your faith, we must ensure that our identity is rooted in Christ alone, not in another person’s approval or actions. The Bible warns us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If Jeff was not walking with the Lord, his departure may have been God’s protection over you, redirecting you toward His perfect will.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who has been wounded by rejection. Lord, we ask that You heal her heart and fill the void with Your perfect peace. Help her to release any bitterness or desire for revenge, trusting in Your justice and goodness. We pray for Jeff, that You would soften his heart and draw him to repentance. If it is Your will, bring him to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, that he may walk in Your ways. Father, we also ask that You guide this sister into relationships that honor You, where she is cherished, respected, and encouraged in her faith. Surround her with godly community and prepare her for the spouse You have for her, if that is Your plan. Strengthen her to find her worth and identity in You alone. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to focus on your relationship with Christ, allowing Him to restore and renew you. Seek godly counsel and fellowship, and trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you are seeking a spouse, pray for a man who loves the Lord and will lead you in righteousness, rather than clinging to past relationships that may not align with God’s best for you. You are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father, and He has a purpose for your life that is greater than any pain you’ve endured.
