James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents in prayer, asking for His healing touch and divine intervention. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore health and bring comfort to those who are suffering.

For your mother, who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs, we pray for complete healing and strength. Lord, we ask that You would regulate her blood sugar levels and cleanse her lungs of this infection. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this healing for her, trusting that You are the Great Physician who can restore her to full health.

For your father, who is struggling with eyesight issues, headaches, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, and blood pressure, we pray for Your healing hand to touch every part of his body. We ask that You would improve his vision, relieve his headaches, heal his urinary tract, reduce the swelling in his feet, and stabilize his blood pressure. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We hold onto this promise, believing that You will bring healing and relief to your father.

We also want to encourage both of your parents to seek godly wisdom in their healthcare decisions, trusting in the Lord while also being good stewards of the bodies He has given them. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these precious parents who are in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and bring complete restoration to their bodies. For the mother, we pray against the diabetes and fungal infection, asking that You would heal her lungs and regulate her blood sugar. For the father, we pray for improved eyesight, relief from headaches, healing of the urinary tract, reduced swelling in the feet, and stabilized blood pressure. We declare Your promises of healing over them, trusting that You are faithful to Your Word.

Lord, we also ask that You would draw them closer to You during this time. May they find comfort and peace in Your presence, knowing that You are in control. Give them strength and endurance as they walk through this trial, and surround them with Your love and the support of their family and community.

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity and sickness in the name of Jesus, declaring that by His stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. We trust in You and believe that You will bring healing and wholeness to these beloved parents. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Carrying concern for both parents at once is a heavy weight, and we hear in your words how much you love them. Watching a mother battle a lung infection on top of diabetes, and a father struggle with so many symptoms at the same time, can leave a heart feeling stretched thin.

One practical step that might help right now: with your mother's fungal lung infection, it may be wise to gently check whether she is being seen by a specialist in both infectious disease and pulmonology, if she is not already. Sometimes a diabetic body fights infection differently, and having a clear medical partnership can bring a measure of reassurance alongside the prayers. For your father, since several of his symptoms can be interconnected, a thorough review with his primary doctor to see if his blood pressure and urinary issues are being addressed together could be a kindness you help him arrange.

It is also okay to simply tell them both what you are telling us: that you love them, and that you are bringing them before the Lord. Sometimes hearing that they are not alone in this carries its own quiet healing.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother to You. Calm the infection in her lungs and give her body strength. We ask for wise and attentive doctors, for steady blood sugar, and for Your peace to settle deep in her spirit. We bring this father before You too. Touch his eyes, relieve his headaches, bring healing to his urinary tract and the swelling in his feet, and bring his blood pressure into a healthy balance. Hold this son or daughter close as they entrust their parents to You. You see each ache and each anxious thought, and we ask for Your mercy on this whole family. Amen.

The prayer you lift for your father and mother rises as a holy incense, and it is God Himself who writes such intercession upon your heart. There is no power like it; these secret pleadings move the hands that govern all things. Seize every advantage in your pleading. Why has the Lord permitted a fungal infection to settle in your mother’s lungs, and why do these many ailments, the failing eyesight, the headaches, the urinary troubles, the swelling and the blood pressure, beset your father? Ask it plainly before the throne: “Can it be that You have cast off Your handiwork? We looked for healing, and behold trouble!” Yet this is not a complaint of unbelief, but the cry of a child who knows the Father’s heart.

The Holy Spirit helps your infirmity in prayer, for we know not what to pray for as we ought. He makes intercession for the saints with groanings that cannot be uttered, and He shapes your petitions into a right manner. If you are a son or daughter of God, this blessed work is yours. Pursue your parents with persistent intercession; follow them into the unseen world if need be, though we plead now for a temporal healing. Samuel, that man of God, counted it a sin against the Lord to cease praying for those entrusted to his care. You are a child to these parents. How can you discharge your duty unless you bear their names upon your heart in prayer, even when the slight of weariness or the provocation of long delay would tempt you to stop? Persevere.

Yet look away from the sickness for a moment and behold the Tree of Life, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in the sweet fruit of His finished work, but in the least things about Him. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and when He comes, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick.” The people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. Pray first that any soul-sickness be cured, for our Lord who healed the palsied man began with, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” Welcome both pardon and healing through Him.

Remember that He who heals was made perfect through sufferings. He is a perfect Captain of our salvation because He bore the penalty, the scourging, the bodily chastisement, and so purchased healing balm for our flesh and bone. Your parents’ suffering is keenly known to Him. In that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succor them that are tempted. He suffered as a pure and holy Being, taking upon Himself not a deserved punishment but a vicarious grief, that He might enter into your father’s pain and your mother’s weakness with a sympathy most tender. That sympathy was worked into Him through His own trials, so that He might become a Son of consolation to all who are afflicted. Let this thought sustain you and be a cordial to your parents’ spirits: Christ is no stranger to their groaning.

Though the healing we crave may tarry, let faith lay hold of this certainty: the Eternal Father has guaranteed that the suffering Savior shall see the fruit of His soul’s travail. He shall satisfy His heart by bringing many sons to glory, and along the way He shall sustain them. The tree of life yields its fruit every month, and even now, in the midst of your family’s trial, its leaves are for healing. Whether the restoration comes instantaneously or through the slow kindling of renewed strength, or is reserved for that Land where there is no more curse, wait upon Him. Commune with the suffering Savior outside the gate, bearing your own little cross, and you shall find grace to help in this time of need. The Lord means to bless this affliction, and to make you and your parents partakers of His own long-suffering, till at last He shall supply a perfect cure and fill your mouths with inexpressible praise. Amen.
