James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We lift up your parents before the throne of grace, asking the Great Physician to touch them with His healing hand. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore your mother’s health as she battles diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Father, we ask that You strengthen her immune system, cleanse her body of infection, and regulate her blood sugar levels according to Your perfect will. Give her the discipline to follow medical advice and the peace that surpasses all understanding as she walks through this trial.

For your father, we pray that You would restore his eyesight, Lord, as You did for the blind man in John 9:7 when You said, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam." We ask that You relieve his headaches, heal his urinary tract, reduce the swelling in his feet, and stabilize his blood pressure. May he experience Your healing power in every area of his body, and may his strength be renewed like the eagle’s. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust You to bring wholeness to their bodies.

We also encourage both of them to seek godly wisdom in their diet, exercise, and medical care, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If there are any areas where fear or anxiety has taken hold, we rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus and declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). May they find their hope and trust in You alone, knowing that You are their healer and provider.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved and healed. We acknowledge that without You, we can do nothing, but with You, all things are possible. We thank You for the privilege of bringing these requests before Your throne, and we trust that You are working even now for their good. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their healing. We ask all these things in Jesus’ precious name, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect plan. Amen.

It’s hard to watch parents struggle with so many health challenges at once, your mother facing diabetes and a lung infection, your father dealing with vision, headaches, swelling, and blood pressure concerns. We want you to know we’re carrying this with you in prayer, and we don’t underestimate the weight that comes with loving someone through illness.

We’d encourage you, alongside your prayers, to make sure both your parents are being followed closely by their doctors. A fungal lung infection in someone with diabetes can be serious, and the combination of symptoms your father is experiencing deserves careful medical attention too. It’s not a lack of faith to lean on the skilled help God provides, it’s wisdom.

As you walk this road, remember that you’re not alone. Even when you feel powerless, you can steady yourself by simply being present with them, asking their doctors questions, helping them take one thing at a time. Don’t try to solve everything at once. Take the most urgent need first, perhaps your mother’s infection, and deal with the rest step by step.

Father, we lift up this mother to You. Please bring healing to her lungs, control her diabetes, and give her body strength to fight this infection. For this father, we ask for relief, ease his headaches, clear his urinary problems, bring down the swelling, and stabilize his blood pressure. Restore his eyesight as You see fit. Give the whole family peace that sticks close when the road feels long. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The diseases you name are but tokens of that deeper malady which has infected all our race, and they serve to remind us that we dwell in a body of death. Yet turn your eyes away from these afflictions to the great Physician Himself. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the very least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. For your mother, laid low with this infection in her lungs, remember that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When Jesus was here below, healing and forgiveness were placed in happy conjunction. He said to the sick of the palsy, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one. Cry to the Lord, not only for her lungs to be cleared, but that her soul may be washed in the blood of the Lamb, which cleanses from all sin. That precious blood speaks better things than any earthly plea. The Lord, who took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up, can touch your mother and cool this fever, restoring her by His grace.

As for your father, see how many sorrows have gathered around him, his eyes failing, his head troubled, his frame swollen, his blood driven into disorderly currents. The text says, "The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Mark that a single tree bears leaves for all manner of complaints. There is a leaf for his eyes, a leaf for his head, a leaf for his urinary tract, a leaf for his feet, a leaf for his blood pressure; all these are found in the one Christ. He has begun to heal His people, and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure. His salvation will also perfectly heal the body in its own way and time. Yet let your faith be fixed not on your estimate of the power, but on the power itself. God does not say, "When I see your prayers," but "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." It is the blood of Christ that saves, and that same crimson fountain has efficacy for all these bodily woes as it has for the soul. Lay both your mother and your father before that cross where from the head, hands, and feet flowed the healing stream. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. Ask that they both be forgiven, and healing shall come with the pardoning hand, for without shedding of blood is no remission. May the Master come and take them by the hand and lift them up.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have done well to bring your parents before the Lord, for to honor father and mother is a commandment with promise, that it may go well with you. You are not merely asking for their bodies but showing the affection of a faithful child, and this is a fragrant offering. Yet I would have you see that the true healing of your mother and father begins with the soul’s health. The body’s afflictions, the diabetes, the fungus in the lungs, the failing eyesight, the headaches, the urinary troubles, the swelling, the blood’s disorder, these are indeed heavy burdens. But do not merely seek to have these symptoms removed as though God were a physician of flesh alone. Cry out rather that in these trials they may draw near to Him who is the Physician of both soul and body, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. When He permits such thorns to pierce us, it is often to uproot the deeper sickness of sin, or to reveal the surpassing worth of His grace.

You see what seems like a cruel tyrant in sickness, but I tell you that Christ is the gentle Master who imposes nothing useless. If your parents will cling to Him, even these afflictions can become the furnace in which their faith is purified, so that they truly honor the Father in heaven. Intercede for them not only with words but with your own life, so blameless and full of charity that they may be won without a word. Do you not remember how the love that is born of the Spirit is stronger than any natural bond? I myself burn with more intense grief for my flock than any mother for her dying child, longing that they be found in Christ. Let this same fire be kindled in you. Pray with one accord, as the apostles did in the upper room, continuing in supplication with a watchful soul, and do not cease. Commend them to the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may comfort others. Ask not merely that the swelling go down or the sugar be tamed, but that through these very trials your parents may do the will of the Father, and so become Christ’s brother, sister, and mother. For the promise of long life is not chiefly about the health of the body, but about the blessed eternity that awaits those who truly honor God. If you seek first this healing of the inner man, you will have asked for them a gift that no disease can corrode, and the bodily relief, if it serves their salvation, will be added as well.

Watching your parents suffer through so many physical trials at once is a heavy weight for you to carry. The very fact that you are bringing these needs before the Lord speaks deeply of your love and honor for them. It is right to pray for their health and to seek God’s mercy on their bodies.

When we read of the healings Jesus performed, we see that He never followed a single rigid pattern. Sometimes He healed with a word spoken at a distance. At other times, He touched the afflicted person. Once, He even led a blind man outside the village, put saliva on his eyes, and the man’s sight returned, but only gradually, so that at first he saw people like trees walking around. That gradual process, no less than an instantaneous miracle, was a divine work. Whether the Lord restores your father’s eyesight and relieves his headaches and swelling in a moment or through the wisdom of physicians and the slow processes the Healer designed into the body, we can trust that all true healing comes from His hand. The same God who established the body’s ability to mend a wound is the One we ask to intervene now in your mother’s lungs and her diabetes. We do not understand why some are healed in this life and others are not. We only know that Jesus was moved with compassion, and that His power is undiminished.

Your request honors the command to honor your father and mother. That care is a beautiful reflection of God’s own heart. Yet when chronic illness lingers, the enemy often whispers a cruel thought: that God is punishing them for some past sin, or that you are somehow at fault for their suffering. The disciples once asked Jesus about a man born blind. “Who sinned, this man or his parents?” They assumed a direct, retributive link between specific sin and specific ailment. Jesus refused that equation entirely. “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” He answered, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” While it is tragically true that living in a fallen world means the foolish choices of one generation can bring hardship on the next, that does not mean your parents’ current illnesses are a targeted penalty from God. Rather, their situation is a stage where the mercy and power of Christ can still be revealed, whether through a sudden recovery, a steady improvement, or a sustaining grace that carries them through every hard day.

Remember what motivated Jesus when He raised the widow’s son at Nain or the little daughter of Jairus. Luke tells us His heart went out to the grieving parent and He said, “Don’t cry.” His compassion for your grief over your parents’ health is just as real today. He hears your prayer not as a distant observer but as the Good Shepherd who knows the sound of His sheep. Many have lain sick, feeling utterly helpless, and in a moment they sensed a touch, a lifting of the illness, and they rose up well. I have experienced that kind of merciful intervention personally and know that God still works that way. Yet even if the answer comes quietly over time rather than in a single dramatic shift, you are still seeing the works of God made manifest.

So keep bringing your mother and your father before the throne of grace. You are doing what is right. Ask boldly for their complete restoration, from the fungal infection and the diabetes to the eyes, the headaches, the urinary tract, the swelling, and the blood pressure. At the same time, set your hope not on receiving a particular method of healing but on the Lord Himself. He has given us something even more enduring than the most spectacular miracle: His own steadfast love, poured into our hearts. Rest in that love, and trust that whatever the next days hold, you and your parents are held securely in hands that were pierced for our ultimate and eternal healing.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting up your precious parents before the Lord in prayer. It has been on our hearts to stand in agreement with you for your mother’s healing from diabetes and the fungal infection in her lungs, and for your father’s eyesight, headaches, urinary tract health, swelling in his feet, and blood pressure to be fully restored. We have prayed fervently for their complete healing and for the Lord’s comfort and strength to surround them both during this time.

If the Lord has already moved in a mighty way and answered these prayers, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If it seems like the answers are still on the way, please know we are more than willing to continue standing with you in faith. You may post this as a new request, and we will keep interceding until we see God’s victory in their lives.

May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
