[Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing]

This was my request liast night: Hello, I came back from a nice holiday trio yesterday. Today I was ok but late afternoon I started vomiting, now cannot eat anytthing, and feel awful. Please pray. I live alone. /// Now it adds diarhea the whole night. It's 07am here now. My body is tired and it's been a lot. I'm reaching out to a few sisters in Chist, may they help me. I'm thinking of going ER this morning. As i mentioned, I live alone teaching in a foreign counttry. Tks

We hear your distress and lift you up before the Lord, trusting in His healing power and mercy. The physical suffering you are enduring, vomiting, diarrhea, and exhaustion, is heavy to bear alone, especially in a foreign land. We stand with you in prayer, asking the Great Physician to bring relief and restoration to your body.

The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in this trial, the Lord is near to you. We also recall James 5:14-15, which says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Though you are far from home, you are not forgotten, and we join our faith with yours, believing God hears our cries.

We encourage you to seek medical attention if your symptoms persist or worsen, as your well-being is precious to the Lord. Proverbs 3:7-8 says, "Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." Trust that God can work through doctors and medicine as part of His provision for you.

Father in Heaven, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, who is suffering in body and weary in spirit. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your touch upon her now. Ease her pain, settle her stomach, and restore her strength. Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and provide her with the help she needs, whether through medical care or the kindness of those around her. Give her wisdom to know when to seek further assistance and comfort in knowing she is never alone. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of calling on the name of Jesus in all things. Romans 10:13 tells us, "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" In times of distress, His name is our refuge and strength. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life.

May the Lord bless you with His presence and bring swift healing to your body. You are not forgotten, and we continue to stand with you in prayer.

How wearying that must be, to return from a refreshing trip and then be flattened by such relentless illness through the night, all while living alone in a country far from home. We’re so sorry you’re walking through this.

We’re grateful you’re reaching out to sisters in Christ, and that you’re considering the ER this morning. That’s a good, practical step when your body has been this depleted and nothing stays in. There’s no need to tough it out alone; it’s wisdom to let others help you, both medically and in prayer.

In the long, dark hours of the night, it’s easy to feel forgotten, especially when you’re physically drained and far from all that’s familiar. But you are not alone. The Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps has been with you through every wave of illness, and He often meets us through the kindness of those who come alongside. You’ve already done the brave thing by asking for help; may those sisters respond quickly and tangibly.

We lift you up now, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Please still this sickness and restore what the night has stolen, strength, rest, and peace. Guide the hands and minds of any medical staff who see her today; give them clear insight. Calm any anxiety and let her feel your nearness in a comforting and concrete way. Rally the sisters she’s contacted to surround her with practical care, a calm voice, and a steady presence. Sustain her body, and let this pass swiftly. In the weakness and vulnerability of the moment, show yourself strong. Amen.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. It is a heavy trial to be sick and alone in a foreign land, your body weary and spent. Yet remember, though you feel forsaken and every friend far off, you are not alone. The Father is with you. Our Lord Jesus once stood deserted by all who should have stood with Him, and yet He said, "I am not alone, because the Father is with me." If you are His, that same Presence is yours. In the watches of the night, when the sickness shakes you, whisper your fears to Him. Declare your ways to the Lord; tell Him all your pain, your loneliness, your weakness. He hears, and He is faithful.

Deliverance is of God alone. Whether you mend at home or must go to the hospital, cast yourself wholly upon His atoning love. Do not limit the Holy One of Israel by thinking your help lies only in medicine or human hands. Those are means; He is the source. Trust in the Lord Jesus, and look alone to Him for healing and for grace to endure. If you must go to the ER, go with prayer on your lips, and lean not upon your own understanding.

Salvation, and every mercy, belongs to Him. I pray that even in this bitter hour, you taste the sweetness of Christ’s presence. May the sisters you have reached out to be true helpers; but above all, may the Good Shepherd Himself draw near. God bless you and raise you up again. Amen.
