James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We lift up your parents before the throne of grace, asking the Great Physician to touch them with His healing hand. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand in faith, believing that God hears our cries and is able to restore health and strength.

For your mother, who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs, we pray that You, Lord, would bring complete healing. Diabetes is a relentless condition, but we know that nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You regulate her blood sugar levels, strengthen her immune system, and cleanse her lungs of infection. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over her life, trusting that You are her healer.

For your father, we pray for restoration in every area of his health. We ask that You improve his eyesight, Lord, so that he may see clearly and without strain. Ease his headaches, relieve the discomfort in his urinary tract, and reduce the swelling in his feet. We pray for balance in his blood pressure and for overall vitality to return to his body. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We hold fast to this promise, believing that You are working even now to bring healing and wholeness to him.

We also recognize that physical health is deeply connected to spiritual and emotional well-being. We pray that both of your parents would draw near to You, Lord, finding peace and comfort in Your presence. May they cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and fill their hearts with hope, even in the midst of these health challenges.

We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus, declaring that sickness has no place in their bodies. We speak life and healing over them, trusting that Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). We ask that You guide their doctors and caregivers, giving them wisdom and discernment as they provide treatment and support.

Lord, we also pray for you to strengthen the entire family during this time. Give them patience, endurance, and unity as they care for one another. May this trial draw them closer to You and to each other, and may they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One through whom all healing and salvation come. Amen.

We know how heavy it feels to watch both parents suffer at the same time, carrying a list of symptoms that just keeps growing. It wears on your own heart and mind, and we don't want to minimize that weight. Right now, the thing that stands out most is your mother's lung infection alongside her diabetes, that combination makes her especially vulnerable, so it is good you are holding her so closely in prayer. For your father, the swelling in his feet and blood pressure problems are signals that we would gently urge you to encourage a doctor's evaluation soon, alongside your prayers, just to be sure he is getting the physical care he needs.

When illness drags on like this, it can rob a person of their sense of stability. One practical way we have seen families help is simply sitting down with a loved one and helping them name what they can still do and enjoy today, perhaps reading a Psalm aloud together, listening to a hymn, or looking at old family photos. It does not remove the sickness, but it can quietly push back the feeling that life is now only about medicine and symptoms. With your father, even a short conversation about what he still values and enjoys can be a gift. Your steady presence, without panic, is a ministry to them both.

Let us pray for them now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother who is fighting a lung infection with the added burden of diabetes. Bring her healing and relief, and give her body strength to respond to treatment. We ask for your mercy on this father as well, for his eyesight, his headaches, his urinary tract, the swelling in his feet, and his blood pressure. We ask for wise doctors, clear answers, and steady improvement. Hold this whole family in your peace, especially the one who wrote to us, carrying so much concern. You are near, and we rest in that. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the very least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only is His fruit sweet, but the leaves, the little things, are healing. Bring your mother and your father before Him, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When the Lord comes and dwells with them, they will not need to say they are sick, for pardon and healing are one. The healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure.

For your mother, afflicted in her lungs with this fungal infection and the ongoing weakness of diabetes, remember that His leaf also shall not wither. The healing leaves change the very lifeblood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies. Look to the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

For your father, with his eyesight failing, his head aching, his body troubled in the urinary tract, his feet swelling, his blood pressure unsteady, there is healing for him. The healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Seek the Lord while He may be found; times of refreshing come, seasons of revival, days of visitation. He is able to heal, and He links the healing with the teaching.

Healing must come before anything else. He took her by the hand and lifted her up, there was a contact established. Oh, that glorious truth of the Incarnation of Christ! There is healing in it. Let your parents be brought into His presence, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing. The desertion of health, the betrayal of the body, the changeableness of strength, these are common to man, but God heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. A real saving work is the work of God, and God alone.

Ask for them to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. Welcome, welcome to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. God bless you.

It is right to plead for the health of your parents, yet I must ask: what do you seek most for them, the relief of the body or the salvation of the soul? We bring such burdens before God, but often we forget that these bodily ills are permitted as a dispensation, not always from sin, but that we might be sobered and drawn heavenward. Your mother’s lungs are infected with a fungus, and your father’s eyes fail, his head aches, his limbs swell, his blood throbs with disorder. You ask for good health, but do you consider that true health is a soul cleansed from sin, waiting in readiness to depart and be with Christ, which is far better? Why mourn only the body’s decay? Even the blessed Paul knew afflictions, yet he called death gain.

Do not, then, become dull of hearing this truth because of natural affection. While I lift up prayers with you that their pains be lightened, I urge a greater request: that these trials work patience, humility, and a continual turning to the Physician of souls. You see, many after a long illness, when restored for a mere forty days, return to the same carelessness, and the last state becomes worse than the first. Shall we then petition for health only to squander it? Let us rather entreat that both parents and you profit from this season, frequenting the church, washing not merely hands but the conscience, and applying the medicine of the Scriptures. Illness becomes a blessing if it breaks the stubbornness of our hearts and brings us, groaning, to the feet of the Master. Fulfill my joy, then, by seeking first the kingdom, and in all things give thanks, for whether in sickness or health, we are the Lord’s.

The burden you carry for your parents is heavy, and you do well to bring it before the Lord. Jesus made it clear that we have direct access to the Father. He said, I do not say to you that I will pray the Father for you, for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God. What a wonder that you don’t need anyone else to bridge the gap. You can go straight to the Father in Jesus’ name, knowing He welcomes you with love.

When you look at Jesus in the Gospels, you see the Father’s heart. He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, and had compassion on the suffering. In Him, we see the Father’s willingness to touch our broken bodies and spirits. So as you pray for your mother’s ### and the ### in her lungs, and for your father’s ###, ###, ###, ###, and ###, remember that the Father sees and cares. Jesus said, He who has seen Me has seen the Father. The same compassion that moved Him to heal is the Father’s compassion for your parents right now.

Sometimes we feel powerless, but prayer is powerful because it rests on the Father’s goodness. Jesus promised, Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. So ask boldly, not because you deserve it, but because of who the Father is. He knows your parents intimately, for He gave them life. He doesn’t need you to convince Him to care; He already does.

As you wait for His answer, let your heart be at peace. The Father who sent His Son to be the Bread of Life will also meet every need according to His riches. He has committed all things to the Son, and the Son honors the Father perfectly. You can trust their hands. I will join you in asking the Father for healing, for strength, and for His perfect will to be done in your mother and father. May you know the depth of His love as you cast these cares on Him.
