James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents before our Heavenly Father. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand in faith, believing that God hears our prayers and is able to restore health and strength.

Father God, we lift up this dear mother who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her. Strengthen her body, fight off the infection, and regulate her blood sugar levels. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Give her the strength and endurance to face each day, and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also bring this father before You, Lord. We ask for Your healing power to restore his eyesight, relieve his headaches, and heal his urinary tract. We pray that the swelling in his feet would subside and that his blood pressure would stabilize. Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your mercy and grace to bring complete healing and restoration to his body.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would guide their doctors and medical caregivers, giving them wisdom and discernment in their treatment plans. May Your healing power flow through every medicine, every procedure, and every moment of care they receive.

We also ask that You would draw near to them in this time of need. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are with them. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You completely. Remind them of Your promises, such as in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord."

Lastly, we pray for their spiritual well-being. May they come to know You more deeply and experience Your love in a profound way. If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would do so. For it is written, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We commit their care into Your hands, Lord, trusting that You will work all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they experience Your healing, Your peace, and Your presence in mighty ways. In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding your parents before the Lord with you, that’s a heavy load to carry, watching them both struggle with so much at once. A fungal lung infection on top of diabetes is especially draining, and your father’s list of concerns sounds exhausting. We’re grateful you reached out.

Something that often gets overlooked in long-term illness is how much stress can ripple through a family. For your mom, stress can make blood sugar harder to control, and for your dad, it can nudge blood pressure higher and add to the strain on his heart and kidneys. This isn’t to put more on you, but to say: even small, steady habits can genuinely support their medical care. If they aren’t already, encouraging them to have their blood pressure monitored regularly is wise, especially with the foot swelling, which a doctor should check. Following the treatment plan for that fungal infection is also crucial; those can be stubborn without the right anti-fungal medication and close follow-up.

Beyond that, many people find that daily quiet prayer or simply sitting with a short psalm can gently settle a racing heart. Research has noted that regular churchgoers often have lower blood pressure, and devotional practices have been shown to help with hypertension and anxiety. So staying connected to their church family, even with a call or visit if they can’t attend, could be a real support for both their spirits and their bodies. We’re not talking about a cure-all, but about surrounding them with the kind of steady presence that helps them not face this alone.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother and father to You. Bring healing to her lungs, wisdom for her diabetes management, and strength for her body. For her husband, we ask for relief from headaches, restored eyesight, healing in his urinary tract, and normalized blood pressure. Let the swelling in his feet resolve and his whole body find health. Give their whole family peace and clear guidance for every medical decision. In Your name, amen.

The secret springs that move the puppets of earth, for kings and princes are often little more than that, are the prayers of God’s believing people. It is God that writes intercession upon men’s hearts, and when he does, it makes a man quick to seize every advantage in pleading with God. You are doing no sin against the Lord in ceasing not to pray for your mother and father; rather, you are discharging a sacred duty. How can you show love toward them unless you bear their names upon your heart in prayer, yes, and pursue them with persistent intercession even as long as breath remains?

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is his fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the very least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The fungal infection in your mother’s lungs and the diabetes that weakens her frame: these are not beyond the reach of the leaves of that tree whose leaf shall not wither. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in his wings. When Jesus was upon earth, the healing power was conspicuously present, and it is present still when he is lifted up in the teaching of his Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. There is healing for the eyes that dim, for the head that aches, for the urinary tract and the swelling feet, for the blood pressure that troubles, all these things that afflict your father are known to the great Physician. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. He is able to heal, and there are times, acceptable days, days of salvation, when that power is more than usually manifest. We looked for peace, and there is no good; and for a time of healing, and behold trouble! That is not exactly praying, but it is very like it; it is the groan of a heart that knows the Lord’s smiting and waits upon him alone.

Yet never put the cart before the horse. Healing must come after pardon, or better still, they are one. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, he said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing were placed in happy conjunction. And so must it be for you and for them: first, that they know the forgiveness which is in Christ Jesus, and then the healing shall follow as the leaves unfold. There is no real spiritual healing for the unregenerate, for the Spirit maketh intercession for the saints, and his intercession is not for the world. Unless we are the sons of God, the Holy Spirit’s indwelling is not ours. But for those who look to Jesus, there is healing for every wound. He is able to heal backslidings; he is able to heal broken hearts; and he is able to heal the body too, for his touch makes the fever leave and the palsy lift. He took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her and she ministered unto him. So do we pray that the healing hand of Christ would touch your mother and your father, lift them from their beds of affliction, and so restore them that they might serve him with gladness. But healing must come before serving, and the desire to minister always arises out of healing. We therefore look to the Lord alone for this great work. It is the work of God, and God alone. The act of justification and the restoration of health are from his hand; easy enough to get religious notions and fancy yourself safe, but a real saving work is the work of Jehovah.

We will not cease to pray for them. God forbid that we should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray. There is no power like that of intercession. And so we will keep them before the throne, asking that the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below would make them whole, body and soul. And we will say with the prophet, “Why have you smitten us, and there is no healing for us?” only to hasten to add that the Lord who wounds is the Lord who binds up, and we wait for his time of refreshing. Welcome them, Lord, to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of mercy is never in vain when it arises from a heart of faith. Consider how those blind men drew near to the Lord, not with elaborate words, but with loud cries and the simple plea for mercy. They sought nothing else, and by their boldness they obtained healing. So too must we approach God for your mother and father, with voices raised not in despair, but in the confidence that He hears those who cling to Him.

You have seen the power of faith in the Scriptures. The woman with the afflicted daughter would not be silenced. She cried out, she persisted, and Christ Himself declared, “Great is thy faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” Learn from her. Do not let the seeming greatness of the sickness discourage you. Faith goes beyond human reason, beyond what the eyes behold, whether a fungal infection in the lungs, a diabetic body, swelling limbs, or failing eyesight. These are not obstacles too great for the Lord who formed the body and upholds all creation by His word.

Do you desire their healing? Then let your prayer be constant and fervent. When the disciples trembled at the plots against them, Christ taught them that faith and prayer can move mountains. He did not promise only the easing of small troubles; He promised great things to those who are willing to believe. Therefore, do not merely utter words or recite a list of ailments as if reading from a physician’s scroll. Lift up your whole soul, and let mercy be the ground of your petition. Trust that God’s grace is drawn forth by such faith as this, the very faith that saved Moses in the ark of bulrushes, when his parents saw that he was a proper child and defied the king’s command because they feared God more.

Some may think that prayer is a small thing, or that hearing the word of God is less than seeing a sign. Yet the Apostle teaches that faith comes by hearing, and that the Lord often works not through a visible marvel but through the hidden power of His promise. Believe, then, that as you call upon Him for your father’s headaches, his blood pressure, his every weakness, and for your mother’s whole body, the answer is already set in motion by Him who prizes faith above all sacrifices.

Do not grow weary if relief does not appear at once. The Lord often delays that He may train our confidence and make our faith more pure. He knows our frame; He sees your love for your parents. And He who healed many at a word, saying “According to your faith be it unto you,” will not despise the cry of a faithful child. Only persist, and mingle your prayers with thanksgiving, knowing that He who began a good work in them will be faithful to complete it.

Let your prayer be not a mere wish, but an act of firm trust. Entreat the Lord with tears when you are able, but always with a settled hope. For if Moses could pass through the Red Sea by faith, if the blood on the doorposts could turn away the destroyer, then surely the sickness of your parents will yield to the mercy of Him who delights to honor those who honor Him. Be bold, then, and plead the promises, and watch how the Lord, in His own time, restores them to health for His glory.
