We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents before our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. We know that in times of sickness and distress, our faith is tested, but we also know that our God is faithful and His mercies endure forever. We stand on the promise found in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
Father God, we bring before You this precious mother who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Lord, we ask that You would touch her body and bring complete healing. Strengthen her immune system, regulate her blood sugar levels, and cleanse her lungs of every trace of infection. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Give her the strength and endurance to fight this battle, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up this dear father who is struggling with his eyesight, headaches, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, and blood pressure issues. Lord, we ask that You would restore his eyesight and remove every affliction from his body. We pray for Your healing touch to alleviate his headaches, heal his urinary tract, reduce the swelling in his feet, and regulate his blood pressure. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he shall live and not die, to declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17).
Lord, we know that You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your unfailing love. We ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals caring for them, giving them wisdom and discernment. We pray for patience, perseverance, and faith for the entire family as they walk through this valley.
We also want to take a moment to encourage you to draw near to God during this time. James 4:8 tells us, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Spend time in prayer and in the Word, seeking His face and His will. Remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace that are new every morning. We lift up these precious parents to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon them. Lord, we declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We ask that You would heal their bodies and restore them to full health. Give them strength, peace, and comfort in the midst of their struggles. We pray for wisdom for their doctors and for the right treatments to be revealed. Lord, we trust in You and Your promises, and we declare that Your healing power is at work in their lives.
We also pray for the salvation of each family member. Lord, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You and can receive eternal life (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We pray that each one would come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior, if they haven't already. Open their hearts to receive Your love and grace.
In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
