We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your father in earnest prayer. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that God is not only able but willing to restore your father’s health according to His perfect will.
Father in Heaven, we cry out to You on behalf of this beloved man who is suffering. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We ask for Your healing touch to mend his body—strengthen his limbs, restore mobility to his legs, and bring relief from the pain that weighs him down. Lord, we know that even in weakness, Your power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Sustain him with Your grace, and let him feel Your presence in this trial.
We also lift up his spirit, for the Word warns us that "a crushed spirit dries up the bones" (Proverbs 17:22). Father, renew his hope in You. Remind him that You have not abandoned him, that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). If despair has taken root, uproot it with the truth of Your love and the promise of Your faithfulness. Let him find strength in You, the ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We rebuke the spirit of giving up in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this is not the end of your father’s story. We speak healing over his body, restoration over his mind, and peace over his soul. Let the same power that raised Jesus from the dead work mightily in him (Ephesians 1:19-20).
To you, dear one, we say: do not lose heart. Your father’s life is precious in God’s sight, and He hears your cries. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord’s timing. Bring your burdens to Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Surround your father with love, encouragement, and godly support. Remind him of God’s promises, read Scripture to him, and let him hear your faith even when his own may waver.
We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, for God often works through the hands of doctors and the means He provides. Trust Him to guide the professionals caring for your father, that they may be instruments of His healing.
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved and through which we approach Your throne (Acts 4:12, Philippians 2:9-11). We believe that You are working even now, and we wait expectantly for Your answer. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing for a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Him.
