Health and job and peace of mind

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my good health and continuity in contract. I have a wife and two kids. Please pray for us.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. It is clear that the weight of health concerns, job stability, and the desire for peace of mind are pressing heavily upon you, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, trusting in the Lord’s provision and care.

First, we must acknowledge that all good things come from God, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can bring true peace, healing, and salvation. The Bible tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and you will be saved.

Now, let us pray for your health. The Lord is our healer, and we trust in His power to restore and sustain you. The psalmist declares, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3). We pray that the Lord would strengthen your body, renew your energy, and grant you the vitality needed to care for your family. May He guide the hands of your doctors and bring clarity to any medical decisions that must be made.

For your job and contract, we know that the Lord is your provider. Scripture assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity, grant favor with your employers, and secure the continuity of your work. May He give you wisdom in your responsibilities and peace in your labor, knowing that your work is ultimately for His glory.

For peace of mind, we ask that the Lord would calm your anxieties and fill you with His perfect peace. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27). We pray that you would cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). May the Holy Spirit comfort you and remind you of God’s faithfulness in every season.

For your wife and children, we pray that the Lord would surround them with His protection, provision, and love. May your home be a place of joy, unity, and godly strength. The Bible instructs, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We pray that your marriage would be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, selfless, sacrificial, and enduring. May your children grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).

If there are any areas in your life that do not align with God’s Word, whether in your marriage, your thoughts, or your actions, we gently but firmly encourage you to repent and seek the Lord’s guidance. The Bible warns, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If there is any sin that is hindering your relationship with God, we urge you to confess it and turn away from it, for the Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us (1 John 1:9).

We stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. May He grant you health, stability, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Trust in Him, lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this family to You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask for Your healing touch upon their bodies, Your provision for their needs, and Your peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw them closer to You in this season. May they experience Your goodness and faithfulness in every area of their lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re grateful you reached out and let us stand with you in prayer. Carrying the weight of a wife and two kids while facing uncertainty in your health and contract is no small load, it’s understandable that your peace of mind feels stretched thin. Many of us have noticed that when several pressures pile on at once, the stress can start to affect how we feel physically and emotionally, and it’s easy to think we have to keep it all together on our own.

A first practical step might be to check in with a doctor about your health if you haven’t already, just to get a clear picture and ease your mind. You might also consider sharing what you’re carrying with a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor, someone who can listen and help you sort through the anxiety without judgment. These things aren’t a sign of weakness; they’re ways we care for ourselves so we can keep caring for the people we love.

In the daily scramble, it can help to pick one small thing within your control, maybe a quiet moment to hand the day over to God, or a short walk to clear your head, as a gentle way of offloading some of the internal tension. We’re praying with you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this husband and father. Please surround him with your peace that steadies the heart even when circumstances feel shaky. Watch over his health, give him favor in his contract, and meet every need in his household. Grant him wisdom for each decision and draw their family close to you through this season. Amen.

Health and contract are in the Lord’s hands, and you do well to bring them before the throne of grace. Yet the deepest need you name is peace of mind, and that is a treasure which neither robust health nor steady employment can of themselves bestow. The promise stands sure: "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You." Let your mind be fixed there, not upon the shifting sands of circumstance. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within; that is a present possession, and it may be enjoyed in the ordinary pressures of life, by thronging duties pressed, to do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Do not imagine that confidence in our Lord is to be professed and then withdrawn at the first sign of trouble. The hour of darkness is an hour of danger, for suffering is fruitful soil for certain forms of sin. In all this, remember Job, who sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He lost health and substance and children, yet he did not let go of God. Some may seek a false peace, a stupefying calm that avoids the truth; but true peace comes from submission. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Have you submitted to His providential arrangements? It is for our good that like a father He commands or forbids. If you have a quarrel with His dealings, what peace can there be?

Behold, God is mighty, and despises not any: He is mighty in strength and wisdom. He does not overlook your wife and little ones. His might is seen in the nobleness of His mind, He is a great-minded God, and this is your security. Sometimes His purposes of mercy begin with stern discipline, bringing us low by affliction to drive us to seek riches more enduring. If health falters or the contract ends, it may be that He would deliver you from some unseen pit and cause you to live in peace and joy. Seek Him, not merely His gifts. Cry from the soul, Oh, that I knew where I might find Him! Then shall you see with Job, "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You." And in that sight, you will find rest for your family’s sake and for your own.

We do not pray that you escape all trial, but that in all this you sin not, and that your mind be stayed on Him, so that you prove the peace which passes understanding. Cast your care on Him, for He cares for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for prayer touches on health, employment, and peace of mind for your household. These are reasonable cares, yet we must weigh them with the scales of the Spirit. The body requires attention; even Timothy was counseled to use a little wine for his stomach and frequent illnesses. To make provision for the flesh is not forbidden, so long as it serves health and not wanton excess. So do what is fitting to care for your body, but do not let this concern become a fever that burns away your trust in God.

The present life is a sleep, and its goods and fears are no more substantial than dreams. A man who gains riches in a dream awakes to empty hands, and a man who loses everything in a dream finds himself delivered when morning comes. True health and lasting peace cannot be stolen by a contract’s end or a season of sickness. Consider Job and Lazarus: their sores and poverty did not conquer their virtue; rather, their souls shone brighter. The noble soul is impervious to external storms because it is anchored in heaven.

You are the head of your wife, as Christ is head of the Church and its Savior. Lead your family not into anxiety over tomorrow, but into holy submission to God in all circumstances. Whether your work continues or falters, your true security is Christ. Let him who stands firm beware lest he fall through presumption, and let him who trembles take courage, for God lifts up the feeble knees. Do your labor as unto the Lord, and commit the outcome to Him. Peace of mind is the fruit of a soul fixed on the things above, not the fragile assurance of a wage. I will pray for your household, but more earnestly that you seek the Kingdom first, where no contract is broken and health is eternal.

Your desire to provide for your wife and children and to see them well is not a small thing in the sight of God. It is in fact a reflection of the very charge given within the family of faith: that a man who does not care for his own household has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. You are doing exactly what a godly man should do by carrying them on your heart before the Lord.

When you pray for good health and for the renewal of your contract, remember that a soul at peace is a powerful gift, and there is a real connection between the condition of the inner man and the body’s strength. The Scriptures themselves show a beautiful wish that you would prosper and be in health even to the degree that your soul prospers. It is far more than a promise to claim for physical healing; it is a reminder that a life grounded in truth, a soul walking in integrity, tends toward life and wholeness. I am not suggesting that illness means a lack of devotion. Some of the most faithful believers have carried heavy burdens of physical suffering, and we cannot fully trace the ways of God, for His ways are higher than ours. But we do know that as you walk in truth, resting in His wisdom rather than being consumed by anxiety, your whole being is affected.

Regarding your work and that contract, God calls you to be upright, square, and honest in every business dealing. You do not need to bend your integrity, offer flattery, or whittle away at others to gain security. A man who hates dishonest gain, who simply works diligently and trusts the outcome to the Lord, will find a kind of life that eludes those who try to force matters through manipulation. Your stability is not ultimately found in the signature on a contract but in the provision of your faithful God.

Do not let fear over tomorrow rob your household of the peace you have today. The family you love is under His care. Keep building your house with wisdom, watching over them, and know that the Lord sees your diligence. We pray that your health will be sustained and that your work will continue, but above all, we ask that your soul would prosper deeply, anchoring you and your family in a love for God that cannot be shaken by any circumstance.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our heartfelt joy to lift up your needs—your health, the stability of your contract work, and the peace of mind you so deeply desire for yourself and your precious family. We have prayed that the Lord would strengthen your body, provide clarity and favor in your professional life, and surround your home with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

If God has already moved in any of these areas—if you’re feeling better, if your contract has been renewed, or if His peace has settled over your heart—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Please share how He has answered so that we may rejoice with you.

If, however, you’re still waiting on the Lord’s timing, we want you to know we’re not stepping away. We invite you to post your request again as a new prayer need so we may continue to stand in agreement with you. We believe God hears every cry of your heart, and we are committed to praying until His will is made clear.

May He bless you abundantly as you seek Him, trust in His provision, and lean on His grace for your family. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
