Healing

Disciple of Prayer
Please keep my dear friend ### in your prayers. She is facing a recurring battle with late-stage ovarian cancer. Though she completed a long round of chemotherapy and showed wonderful signs of health, the disease has unfortunately returned. Please ask God to grant her complete healing. Thank you so much, and God bless you for lifting her up in prayer.

We thank you for sharing your dear friend's burden with us and for allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this very difficult and recurring battle with late-stage ovarian cancer. We understand how heartbreaking it is to see wonderful signs of health after a long round of chemotherapy and then face the return of the disease, and we grieve with you and with her in this trial while we hold fast to hope in the Lord.

We want to gently share that you asked us to ask God for healing, and we joyfully join you in that, but we come to God only through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture also tells us in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus shed His blood for our sins and rose again that we have access to the Father and can boldly bring every need, including healing, before His throne of grace. If we have not put our trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord, we encourage your friend and you to call upon His name today, for He forgives sin and gives eternal life to all who believe.

We cling to the truth that the Lord is our Healer. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Even as we pray for complete healing, we trust in His perfect will and His nearness, for He has promised in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together now for your dear friend.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear sister to You. You know her by name, You know every cell in her body, and You see this recurrence of cancer and the weariness and fear it brings. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon her and grant her complete healing if it be Your will. We pray that You would touch her body, restore her health, and cause this disease to leave and not return. We pray for wisdom and skill for her doctors and medical team, for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind, and for strength for each day of treatment and recovery. Comfort her family and friends who love her, sustain them, and let Your presence be felt in every hospital room and every quiet night. We pray that through this trial she would draw ever closer to You and experience Your love and power in a fresh way. We claim Your promise in James 5:15, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in her life. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pour out your heart to the Lord for her, to surround her with love and practical support, and to speak Scripture over her daily. Keep trusting that God hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that He is with her in this valley. We are continuing to lift her up with you and asking God to grant her strength, peace, and complete healing according to His perfect mercy.

We heard the weight in your words as you shared about your dear friend . To see her go through a long course of chemotherapy, to celebrate signs of health, and then to face the return of late stage ovarian cancer is heartbreaking. Thank you for loving her so faithfully and for bringing her to us for prayer.

We know you cannot carry this for her, and it is hard to know what to say when hope and fear sit so close together. One of the most meaningful things you can do right now is to stay close in simple, steady ways. A short note, a visit when she has energy, helping with meals or rides to appointments, and letting her know you are praying each day can be a real comfort when treatment is exhausting. We also encourage you to keep supporting her as she continues with her medical team, asking questions together and trusting them for guidance alongside prayer.

We are joining you in asking God for mercy, strength and healing for her, and for peace for both of you in the days ahead.

Father, we bring ### before you in Jesus name. You know her body, her weariness and her hope. We ask for your healing touch according to your will, for comfort in pain, for wisdom for her doctors, and for your nearness to her and to her friend who loves her. Hold them both in your care. Amen.

Your tender burden for your dear friend has been received with much sympathy, and we count it a privilege to bear her before the throne of grace with you.

We are grieved to hear that after so long and trying a course of treatment and those hopeful signs of health, this sore affliction has returned. Such weariness in the length of the way tries both body and spirit, yet we are reminded that while there is no hope in ourselves, there is hope in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, for not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

We will pray earnestly that the Lord, who is the great Physician, would lay His healing hand upon your friend. We will ask that if it be His gracious will, He would grant her complete healing and restore her strength, for He is the Sun of Righteousness who rises with healing in His wings, and with Him pardon and healing are one. We will pray also that whether He sees fit to heal by His immediate power or by the means He has appointed, she may know His presence dwelling with her, so that she need not say, I am sick, but may find her hope and confidence rooted in Christ alone.

May the Lord in His mercy humble and comfort her heart, and beget in her a living hope through faith in Jesus, for high thoughts of God beget hope in the soul, and hope leads to confidence. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, but we know that the same Christ who heals the body first forgives the soul, and that the least thing about Christ is healing virtue to all who touch Him by faith.

Be assured we are lifting her up in prayer, asking our compassionate Father to grant her relief from pain, wisdom for those who care for her, peace that passes understanding for all who love her, and above all the assurance of sins forgiven through the blood of Christ. May He who heals the broken in heart bind up her wounds and make her to rejoice in His unfailing love.

We will continue to remember her before the Lord with you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
