Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I am joining my faith with yours in prayer before the Lord today. I am so sorry for the pain you are experiencing in your esophagus and for the fear that comes when even swallowing brings hurt. It is right to bring this to God, for He is compassionate and He cares for you in your suffering.
I understand the hope you expressed that when two or more agree in prayer God will act. The Lord does hear us when we pray together and He has promised to be present with those who seek Him. At the same time, healing comes according to His wisdom and mercy, not as a formula we control, but as a gift from a loving Father who knows what is best. We can come to Him with confidence, asking for complete healing, while also trusting His will and His timing, and resting in His peace even while we wait.
I will pray that God brings healing to your esophagus and to your whole body, that He eases the pain when you swallow, that He removes what is causing this affliction, and that He comforts your heart and takes away fear so you can rest. I also encourage you, as you trust God for healing, to seek care from a doctor promptly, since God often works through the skill He has given to physicians, and it is wise to have this pain evaluated without delay.
Let us pray together now.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this dear one to You. You see the pain in the esophagus and the difficulty and hurt with every swallow. You see the fear and the sleepless concern. Lord, have mercy and lay Your healing hand upon this body. Ease the pain, restore the tissue, allow food and drink to be received without hurt, and bring healing from head to toe according to Your will. Grant peace that guards the heart and mind, and grant restful sleep tonight and renewed strength in the morning. Give wisdom to doctors and guide every step of care. Let Your presence be felt as comfort and assurance, and let Your will be done in all things. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our great physician and our hope. Amen.
Be assured that you are not alone in this. I will continue to pray for you. Keep seeking the Lord, cast your cares upon Him, and let those close to you know of your need so they can pray and support you and help you get medical care quickly. May the Lord grant you His peace and sustain you with His love.
