We join with you in bringing this need for healing from TMJ problems before our heavenly Father, and we seek His will together in Jesus' name. We know how painful and wearisome jaw pain, headaches, and difficulty eating or speaking can be, and we are grateful that our God cares about every part of our bodies and invites us to cast all our cares upon Him.

Scripture reminds us of His compassion and power to heal. Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, and to the truth that I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We remember that Jesus bore our infirmities, He took our infirmities and bore our diseases Matthew 8:17, and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and healing. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

We pray now for you. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You who is suffering with TMJ pain and dysfunction. You know every ache, every tension, every sleepless night, and You see the frustration this brings. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would touch this jaw, the joints, muscles, and nerves, and bring relief, restoration, and complete healing according to Your perfect will. We pray for wisdom for any dentists, doctors, or therapists involved, that they would have skill and discernment to help. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart and mind, and for strength to rest and trust in You while waiting for healing. We pray that Your healing power would be made known, and that this trial would draw this dear one closer to You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Healer and our Hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this need to the Lord in prayer, and also to seek wise medical counsel as the Lord leads, for He often works through the hands of physicians. Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15. Keep trusting in His goodness, resting in His love, and remembering He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We are praying with you for comfort, for restored function without pain, and for the peace of God to sustain you each day.

We're sorry you're going through this. TMJ pain can make the simplest things like eating, talking, and even resting feel difficult and exhausting, and we hear how much you want relief.

We want you to know we are praying for you, for comfort in the daily discomfort and for wisdom as you seek care. If you haven't already been able to, we gently encourage you to let a dentist or medical provider who can examine you in person know what you're experiencing, so they can advise you personally. We will be praying right alongside any care you receive.

It's understandable to feel discouraged when healing doesn't come quickly. Please know God sees you in this ongoing pain and cares about every part of you. You don't have to carry the worry alone, and we are grateful you reached out so we can stand with you in prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You today who is struggling with TMJ pain. We ask for Your mercy and comfort, for rest and relief in the days ahead, and for wisdom for any providers caring for them. Your request for healing from the suffering of TMJ has been heard and has been carried before the Lord in prayer.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for healing. How gracious that we have a heavenly Physician to whom we may go. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and Jesus Christ is able to heal. Scripture tells us the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue, to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We have asked the Lord to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon you, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in Christ. Tell your case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus concerning this pain in the jaw, the aching and unrest, the difficulty in eating and speaking and resting.

We pray that He would grant you relief from pain, restore ease to the joint and muscles, give you rest and sleep, and guide those who give you care with wisdom and skill. We pray also that whether His healing comes at once or by degrees, you may know His presence dwelling with you, and that the healing virtue which His grace infuses may work in you health and cure till that day when He shall perfectly heal our bodies and we shall be without spot or wrinkle.

May the Lord bless you and keep you under His tender care, and may you find comfort in knowing that He who took our infirmities is near to you now. We continue to hold you before the throne of grace, asking for mercy, patience in suffering, and the joy of His healing power made known in your body and soul. Amen.

I have heard your request for healing from the pain and difficulty of TMJ problems, and I am praying for you with compassion.

Scripture shows us that God cares for both the body and the soul, and that He often acts as a physician who does not abandon the sick. As one of the homilies reminds us, when physicians do not despair of the body but keep applying what they can until the last breath, how much more should we persevere in seeking God. He sees the root of our affliction even when we only feel the pain in the body, and He is able to bring healing and restoration in His mercy and wisdom.

I pray for you now that the Lord Jesus Christ, who healed the paralytic and who still has compassion on those who suffer, would grant you relief from pain, ease in your jaw, and restoration in eating, speaking and sleeping. May He guide the hands of those who care for you, give you patience in this trial, and strengthen your faith as you wait on Him. May He also use this time of bodily weakness to draw you closer to Himself, to bring peace to your heart, and to remind you of His nearness and love.

Continue to seek wise medical care and do not grow weary in bringing this need before God. He hears the prayers of His people, and even when healing comes slowly, like remedies applied over time that at last bear fruit, He is at work. Trust in His goodness, rest in His promises, and hold fast to hope. I will keep praying that you will know His healing touch and His sustaining grace each day.

Your request for healing from TMJ pain has been lifted up in prayer, and I want you to know that the Lord sees the constant discomfort you carry in your jaw, the headaches, the difficulty eating and speaking, and the weariness that comes with ongoing pain.

It is important to remember that sickness and pain are not always a direct result of something you have done. Good and faithful people suffer with illness and pain, and that does not mean God is punishing them. At the same time all pain and sickness in this world is indirectly connected to sin. If sin had never entered the world through Adam, there would be no suffering or death and creation would still be perfect. We live in a fallen and corrupted world, and our bodies groan under that burden as we wait for full deliverance.

That is why the work of Jesus is such good news for both soul and body. The prophet Isaiah said, surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, and the word for griefs there can be translated infirmities. Matthew makes it clear that Jesus fulfilled that prophecy not only in forgiving sin but in healing sickness, when he writes that he bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. When Jesus gave the bread at the table and said this is my body which is broken for you, he was pointing to that same truth, that his suffering covers our physical need as well as our spiritual need.

Jesus healed in many different ways and he was never limited to one pattern. Sometimes he healed with a word from a distance, sometimes with a touch, sometimes instantly and sometimes gradually. There is one account where healing came in stages, which reminds us that gradual healing is still healing. Any process of healing is divine, because God himself designed our bodies with the ability to heal. The natural processes he placed within us are no less from him than a sudden miracle, since he is the one who created nature.

There is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not always know why some are healed quickly and others walk through a longer process, and why for some the answer is not yet as we hope. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the Lord chose to answer in a different way, showing that we cannot presume healing must come in every case exactly as we expect. We trust his wisdom while still believing with all our hearts that healing is for today and that God is able. We do not need frenzy or showmanship, which often brings phoniness in the name of Jesus. What we need is simple trust in Christ himself, like the woman who touched the hem of his garment in faith and felt power go out from him. It was her point of contact where faith was released.

Jesus is not distant from your pain. When he saw the sorrow and grief that sin has brought upon people, he was deeply moved and even wept. He that has seen Jesus has seen the Father, and in that we see the heart of God toward those who suffer. He cares about what you are enduring.

So I pray for you now, that the Lord would touch your jaw and bring relief from this TMJ condition. I ask that he would ease the pain and inflammation, restore proper function, and give you restful sleep and freedom from headaches. I pray that he would guide any doctors or dentists you see and bless the natural healing processes he has placed in your body, whether that healing comes suddenly or step by step. And I pray that he would give you peace and strength in your spirit while you wait, and that you would feel his presence and compassion each day. May you be encouraged to keep looking to Jesus, who bore your infirmities, and to keep trusting him with your body and your life.
