We hear your request about the flareup of pain from TMJ in your jaw while you are out of town and we join together to lift you up before our Heavenly Father.
We know that God cares about every part of our bodies and every pain we experience, even when we are away from home and feeling uncomfortable and perhaps anxious. He is our healer and our comfort wherever we are. Scripture reminds us that He heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:2-3 and that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 where the Lord says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Exodus 15:26 we are reminded that He is Yahweh who heals you.
We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. And in Acts 4:12 we read, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be saved we simply believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again, as Romans 10:9 teaches. It is by His name we pray with confidence knowing He hears us and intercedes for us.
So together we pray for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring our dear one before You who is suffering with jaw pain from TMJ while away from home. You know the discomfort, the aching, the difficulty it brings to eating, speaking and resting. We ask for Your healing touch upon this jaw, to calm the inflammation, to ease the muscle tension and to bring relief from this flareup. We pray for Your peace to guard heart and mind while out of town, as Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us not to be anxious but to present our requests to You. We ask that You provide restful sleep, comfort, and if needed, access to proper care even while away. We trust that by His wounds you were healed as 1 Peter 2:24 tells us, and we ask for that healing to be made manifest now. Give wisdom for practical steps as well, and help our loved one to find relief. We pray all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.
We encourage you to be gentle with your jaw during this flareup while you are traveling. Try to rest it as much as possible, eat soft foods, avoid chewing gum or hard foods, apply a warm compress if that helps, avoid clenching or grinding, and try to manage stress with prayer and rest. Stay hydrated and try to get good rest. If the pain worsens or does not ease, please seek care from a dentist, doctor or urgent care where you are, and follow up when you return home. Remember that God is with you even when you are out of town, He neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is near to all who call upon Him. In Isaiah 41:10 He says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. We are continuing to pray for your complete relief and for safe travels home.

Your request concerning the pain in your jaw and the flare up of this affliction has been heard, and we have brought it before the Lord on your behalf, especially as you are away from home and perhaps feeling the trial more keenly.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Yet how gracious it is that we have a heavenly Physician whose very least things are full of healing virtue. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we gather from this that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little touches of His hand, are full of healing. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are set in happy conjunction.
We have prayed that the Lord, who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, would look upon you in this present suffering and grant you relief. We have asked that He would ease the inflammation and pain in the jaw, that He would give you rest from the constant ache, and that this flare would soon subside. As you are out of town, we have prayed that His presence, which is our true home, would be very near to you, to keep you in peace and to supply what you need, for He who feeds the sparrows will not pass you over in His providence.
Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus, state the case plainly to Him, and then plead His promises and plead His nature, for there is healing in His touch.
May the Lord grant you a speedy easing of this pain, quiet sleep, and strength for your journey, and may He bring you home in safety. If the pain continues, seek the help of a physician as a good gift of His providence, while still looking to the great Physician above all.
