Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for reaching out and for the humble way you have brought this need to the Lord. Saying if it is Gods will is not a lack of faith, it is wisdom and faith and a complete commitment to Him. We do not always know what His will is in every situation, and Scripture shows us that healing is not always His will in this present life, as we see with Paul and the thorn in the flesh that the Lord chose not to remove. To pray Thy will be done is to place yourself and your loved one into the hands of a Father whose will is good and whose love can be trusted, and we need not be afraid of that will.
Because we do not always know how to pray as we should, God has given help. Romans chapter 8 tells us the Spirit helps our weakness and makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered when we do not know what to ask. You can rest in that promise as you pray through these storms.
I join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one who is suffering and the loved one who is interceding. If it is Your will, touch and bring healing and relief, and grant strength and peace in the midst of these storms. Help them to feel Your nearness, and uphold them by Your power. Your Word says, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and uphold you with the right hand of my power. Let that comfort be very real to them now. Let them find comfort in Your mercy and kindness, trusting that You are faithful even when we do not understand.
We also remember that even when You allow a storm to continue, You are with us in it and Your hand is guiding. As You were with Paul in the storm and directed his path through it for Your purpose, so You are present in this storm with a purpose and You will bring Your children through. You will not desert them.
We look forward to the day when You make all things new, when You will establish Your kingdom and restore all things. Your Word promises a time when there will be no more infirmity, when the lame will leap and every sickness will be gone and we will know perfect health in Your presence. Until that day, help us to trust You, to seek Your will, and to bear fruit that pleases You. Mold us after Your will and bring us through victoriously.
May the Lord grant peace to your heart, strength for each day, and according to His perfect will, healing and relief to your loved one. We trust Him together in Jesus name, amen.
