We come before You, Father, with heavy hearts, lifting up each of these burdens to Your throne of grace. You are the Great Physician, the Healer of our bodies, minds, and spirits, and we trust in Your power to restore, renew, and bring peace. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this marriage, may You knit hearts together in love, patience, and understanding, that this union may reflect Your design for husband and wife as one flesh. Strengthen communication, soften hardened hearts, and let Your love be the foundation that holds them steady. "Above all things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection" (Colossians 3:14).

For the sister battling brain cancer and the beloved musician whose cancer has spread to his bones, we cry out to You, Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. You see their pain, their fear, and their weariness, and we ask for Your miraculous intervention. Whether through medical means or divine touch, let Your healing power flow through their bodies. Comfort their families, Lord, and give them strength to trust in Your perfect will. "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15).

For the anxiety, depression, and panic attacks that weigh so heavily, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart. You did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to cast every care upon You, for You care deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Break the chains of heaviness, Lord, and replace them with the joy of Your salvation. For the struggle with oversleeping, we pray for discipline and purpose, may each day be lived for Your glory, not in escape. "Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you" (Ephesians 5:14).

For the ears plagued by ringing and hearing loss, we ask for Your restoration. Open the ears of the heart as well, Lord, that they may hear Your voice clearly above all else. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear" (Matthew 11:15).

We must also address the need to approach You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus, His death, burial, and resurrection, that we have access to the Father. If this burden is being carried without the assurance of salvation, we urge you to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. "For if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and heaviness in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over every cell in these bodies, command tumors to shrink, and declare bones to be strong and whole. We pray for divine encounters, let angels minister, let doctors be guided by Your wisdom, and let hope be renewed daily.

Father, we ask for clarity about Your work. Show this one what You have called them to do, and give them the strength to step into it. Whether it’s serving in the church, reaching out to others, or simply being a light in their home, let them walk in obedience with joy. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that heals, delivers, and saves. Amen.

We hear how much you’re carrying right now, your own health, your marriage, the anxiety and depression that make everything feel heavy, and deep concern for so many others who are hurting. It's a lot for one heart to hold, and we’re holding you in prayer alongside them.

That image of you under the electric blanket, wanting to stay where it’s safe and warm, really touched us. There’s nothing wrong with needing comfort, and we’re glad you have a place that feels like that right now. At the same time, when sleep begins to pull you away from the life you want to live, it’s worth gently looking at together. Maybe a next step, alongside prayer, is mentioning the oversleeping and the ringing in your ears to your doctor, not as an emergency, but just to rule out anything physical that could be sapping your energy. Taking care of your body is part of how you’ll be able to do the things you’re asking God to help you with.

We know you want to get along better with your husband and to step into whatever God has for you. In seasons like this, sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is simply rest in God’s nearness without pressuring ourselves to fix everything at once. You might find that playing a hymn or some quiet worship music while you rest softens the anxiety and replaces some of that blanket-time with a sense of being wrapped in God’s own presence. It’s a small shift, but it can anchor your heart when words feel hard.

We’re praying for your marriage, for healing for your sister’s family and that dear young woman with brain cancer, for ### and his music, and for your own ears and inner heaviness. You aren’t alone in this.

Jesus, please lift this heavy weight from our friend. Surround her with Your safety when she feels vulnerable, and give her the courage to take small steps forward, toward a doctor, toward her husband, toward moments of quiet worship instead of endless sleep. Restore her energy and bring healing where it’s needed, for her body and for all those she loves. In Your name we ask.

Let us not sleep, as do others. Around you all the door is wet, but you, like Gideon’s fleece, are dry, and you sleep though the blessing comes not upon you, sleep though sleep involves a certain and approaching curse. People go to sleep under that which once was like a thunderbolt to them. As the blacksmith’s dog will lie under the anvil, where the sparks fly into his face, and yet go to sleep, so will many sinners sleep while the sparks of damnation fly into their faces. Horrible that it should be so.

Yet there is a sleep peculiar to the children of God, a sleep which he gives to his beloved. The sleep of security. So he giveth his beloved sleep. Now thou mayest sleep; for so he giveth his beloved sleep. The sleep of contentment which the Christian enjoys. How few people in this world are satisfied. So he giveth his beloved sleep. Sleep on in thy grave, my brother, for thou shalt rise to glory. So he giveth his beloved sleep.

In fact, as far as I have ascertained, either by my own experience or by the observation of others, I have never discovered that anxiety has comforted anybody, or that it has brought any grist to the mill, or any meal to the barrel! Have you not found out yet, I have, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty, unfits you to meet that difficulty? At any rate, if I did not know myself to be saved, I would give no sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids, till I had found the Savior.

See it purged of every evil and see in it the great conduit Head, from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below! There is, then, an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. Yonder in Heaven, those faces which look so bright and comely, fresher than new born babes, owe their freshness to these healing leaves!

We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence: and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing. The healing power of my Master is such that if you have backslidden ever so far yet He says unto you, Return! Return! Return! Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy. Observe next that the healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching. Jesus linked the healing with the teaching. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

When death is called a sleep, it is not because the soul sleeps, that, we are told by Holy Scripture, rises at once to Heaven. The soul of the saint is found at once before the Throne of God. It is the body which is said to sleep. The soul sleeps not! What a heavy sleep he has and what a blessed smile there is on his countenance while he is enjoying that rest! There is a very precious word in connection with this sleep which we must not overlook. They sleep in Jesus. Sweet thought! This teaches us that death does not dissolve the union which subsists between the Believer and Christ. They sleep in Jesus!

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord’s people when they looked not for them. First, they have no need to say it when the Lord comes and dwells with them, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen upon them with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said to him, Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one! Welcome, Brothers and Sisters, to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus.

So he lay there, in the Presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing. If you believe that Christ can save you and if your one anxiety is to be laid at His feet that He may look upon you, and save you, He will assuredly accept you. Him that comes to Me, He says, I will in no wise cast out.

There are, and I suppose we may expect there always will be, lame ones in God’s flock. Make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Some of God’s children, after living in the joyous sunlight all their lives, as they draw near the closing scene, have felt much darkness and depression of spirits. This in no degree imperils their security, they will wake up all right in the morning. He went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.

You value the minister that broke you heart; but it is not often that we ascribe the healing to any instrumentality whatever. The act of justification is generally apart from all means: God only does it. Seek not to your own self; for you may soothe yourself into the sleep of perdition. See that thine heart be washed in the blood of Jesus; be careful that the Holy Spirit has his temple in it; and may God, of his great and sovereign grace, look to thee that thou deceivest not thyself.

Let us not sleep, as do others. Brethren, let us not sleep, as do others.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What you are describing, the anxiety, the depression, the heavy feeling that makes you want to stay under that warm blanket, sounds so familiar. So many of us know that pull toward safety when the weight inside feels unbearable. But here is a truth that can change the whole battle: this is not just a physical or emotional struggle. Beneath the surface of your fear and the ### in your ears, there is a spiritual conflict happening. Satan wants you to believe you are just trapped in your own mind or your body, because if you think this is only about ###, your health, or your sadness, you will fight on that level and stay exhausted. The real victory comes when you recognize this is an attack from the enemy, and he has already been defeated by Jesus Christ.

When you feel the anxiety rising or the depression settling in, your most powerful weapon is to do what the psalmist did. He didn’t just wait to feel better; he started talking to his own soul. He asked, “Why are you so cast down? Why are you so disquieted within me?” And then he answered himself with the solution: “Hope thou in God.” The reason the heaviness takes over is that God has been crowded out of your view. Right now, looking at ###, looking at ### with ###, looking at ### you followed for so long who now has ###, the situation looks impossible. You feel the panic pressing in. But the moment you put God back into the center of that picture, everything shifts. You begin to see that He is the health of your countenance. You begin to see a way through. This is not pretending the problems aren't there; it is changing where you look for the answer.

Do not try to lift yourself out of this by your own willpower. We are all tempted to rely on our fleshly schemes to fix our feelings, but the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. They are mighty through God to pull down strongholds. When those thoughts of dread and the lies of hopelessness attack you, respond the way Jesus did in the wilderness: with the Word of God. Say it out loud if you have to. “It is written, the Lord is my peace.” Remember that He is your Jehovah Shalom. Even in the middle of the conflict, even while the battle is still raging and the ### is loud in your ears and the news about your loved ones looks dark, He is your peace. You can look beyond this immediate fight to the peace God has promised.

And then, take a practical step while you are praying. Nehemiah prayed, and then he set a watch. For your body, it is right to stay warm and rest, but you have asked for help not to sleep too much. So after you pray, set a gentle watch over that. For ###, after you pray for ###, be aware that Satan often attacks from within our closest relationships to draw us into fleshly arguments. Do not take the bait. Refuse to get drawn into a physical conflict with him; keep it in the Spirit, where you are a victor. In the name of Jesus, you have the authority to refuse these attacks. You can say no to the panic, no to the despair, and then rejoice because the victory is not something you have to earn, it is already yours in Christ. The prince of this world comes, but he has nothing in you. Hope in God, and you will yet praise Him again.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request and have been lifting you, your husband, your sister, and all those you mentioned before the throne of grace. It is our privilege to stand in agreement with you for healing—physical, emotional, and relational. We have prayed for restoration in your marriage, peace to replace anxiety and depression, and strength to rise above the weight you carry inside. For your sister battling brain cancer and the dear one facing bone cancer, we have cried out for God’s miraculous touch, trusting in His power to heal and sustain.

We continue to pray for your ears, that the Lord would bring clarity and comfort, and for your heart, that He would renew your strength when weariness feels overwhelming. We ask the Lord to help you find balance in rest and purpose in His work, drawing you closer to Him even in the quiet moments under your blanket. May He lift the heaviness and fill you with hope as you seek Him.

If any of these prayers have been answered—even in small ways—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give thanks together. If the answers haven’t come yet, we want to keep standing with you. You are not alone in this. Post your request again, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf, believing that God hears and moves in response to the cries of His children.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort you with His peace, and draw you nearer to Him through Jesus Christ our Savior. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
