There is a kind of strength that surfaces when every earthly support gives way, and I can hear in your words that this moment is demanding every bit of it. You are not wrong to cry out for healing by His stripes, nor to ask for wisdom as your niece walks toward that next opinion. The same Scriptures that promise us the One who bore our sicknesses also tell us that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. So you are pressing into the very heart of God when you ask for both.

One of the deep truths we learn in the valley is that wisdom is not the same as having all the facts. The facts of a diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but wisdom is a person we can run to. In the Proverbs, wisdom is lifted up as better than rubies, crying out in the streets, offering counsel and understanding and strength. That wisdom, the kind that presided over creation itself, is not a distant principle. It meets us in our raw need and does not despise the poor man’s cry. Your niece has already lost much and is carrying a heavy load of study and a weary ###, but wisdom gives life to those that have it. Not an abstract life, but the steady, preserving life that keeps the heart when reports threaten to undo it.

What you are asking for is precisely what God delights to give. If any of us lacks wisdom, He gives to all liberally and without upbraiding. He knows we will make missteps, yet He never shames us for coming back again and again. The wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable. It does not strut in pride or panic. It settles a soul in the storm, not because we have an answer for everything, but because we have a person who is the Answer. When you feel your own strength slip, remember that the wisdom of this world would tell you to manage fear with facts alone, but the wisdom of God shifts the weight off your shoulders and onto His. He works in us to will and to do what we cannot manufacture ourselves.

Keep bringing this before the throne. Ask for a negative result with boldness, for God is able. But also ask that in the waiting, your niece and you would taste the kind of faith that stands in the power of God and not in human resources. The testings we dread are often the place where we discover that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. The Lord does not test to destroy but to anchor us in a hope that does not shift. He gave His Son to be wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption for us. That same Son knows the human body, knows the dread of suffering, and He is interceding now.

So I will join you in praying that the second opinion brings news of no ###, that the ### subsides, and that she finishes her studies with a renewed mind. More than that, I will pray that the Spirit of wisdom and understanding rests upon her and upon all who love her, so that whatever the outcome, you will see the Lord’s preserving hand. The starting place of all true wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a reverent trust that hates evil and loves the One who triumphed over every grave. That is where we stand together. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your precious niece during this challenging time. It has been heavy on our hearts as we have lifted her up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and perfect peace to surround her. We continue to pray that the second opinion will bring clarity and good news, and that the tests will come back negative, confirming God’s promise of healing through the stripes of Jesus.

We also ask the Lord to strengthen her in body, mind, and spirit as she walks through this season. May He grant her wisdom to navigate the decisions ahead and fill her with an unshakable trust in His faithfulness. We know how much she has endured already, and we pray that God would restore what has been lost and bring comfort to her soul.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a mighty way, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the journey is still ongoing, please know we are here to keep praying—feel free to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf. May God’s grace and mercy be poured out over her life as you all seek Him together. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
