HEALING

The prayer of your heart reaches the throne of God, who is rich in mercy. You ask for restoration of your nervous system and for renewed hope. These two petitions are woven together, for the health of the body and the strength of the soul both come from the same fountain of grace. When the man with the withered hand stood before the Lord, Christ commanded him to stretch it forth, and it was restored whole, like as the other. The same word that commanded the body also quickened the will; the man obeyed, and healing flowed. So grace works: it bids us move beyond despair and reach toward the Physician.

Do you think that hope is a small thing? The Apostle teaches that patience works probation, and probation hope. We are saved by hope. Yet that hope is not a fleeting wish for bodily ease; it is a better hope, an anchor within the veil where Christ has entered. That hope brings us near to God, even to the very throne of the Father. When the nervous system trembles, the soul may cling all the more to the unshakable promise. The grace of God is sufficient in weakness, for His power is made perfect in it. He who delivered His servants from ten thousand dangers will not forsake you in this affliction.

But let no one presume upon grace while neglecting the voice of the Bridegroom. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Come continually to this house of healing; write upon your heart the things you hear from the Scriptures. The mind careful about divine matters becomes a tablet written by the Spirit, and the evil one will not be able even to look upon it. A soul that hangs over this fountain can find calm in the midst of the storm. Do not, then, give way to despair. The devil would have you believe that your fall is beyond repentance, but the Lord receives those who turn to Him with true conversion. Did not harlots enter the kingdom by believing and being purified? How much more shall the mercy of God restore the body and spirit of one who cries out for grace.

Let your prayer, therefore, ascend not with demands but with lowliness of mind, remembering that the chief healing is that of the soul. The grace that appeared teaches us to deny worldly lusts and to live soberly, looking for the blessed hope and appearing of our great God and Savior. If He grants restoration of your nerves, give Him glory; if He delays, learn from the husbandman who toils all year and yet may miss the fruit, but whose true hope is in the Lord. Patience is your part; the Spirit’s furnishing will anoint you unto that hope. Lift up your head, stretch forth the hand of faith, and hear the Bridegroom’s voice: He rejoices over you with healing in His wings.

God’s mercy and grace are exactly what you are crying out for, and they are already being poured out toward you in Christ Jesus. When your body feels broken and hope seems distant, it is easy to fix your eyes on the physical symptoms alone, but the Lord invites you to see something deeper. He is at work even now, writing a story of grace and beauty in your life, a poem only He can compose. The pain and the weakness are not random; they are brushstrokes in the hands of a merciful Artist who redeems every stroke.

The world around you may offer flimsy hopes, things that promise security but crumble under the weight of real suffering. But the hope you need, the hope that sustains when everything else gives way, is not built on a healed nervous system or perfect circumstances. It is anchored in a Person. Jesus Christ is our living hope. God, who cannot lie, has promised eternal life to all who trust in Him. That promise gives you a rock, solid place to stand, even while your body trembles. So do not let despair convince you that hope is lost. It is not lost because He is not lost.

Mercy and truth meet together in Jesus. Mercy means you do not receive what your sins deserve, and grace means you are given blessings you could never earn. You asked for mercy and grace from above, and that is exactly what God delights to give. You may feel unworthy, looking back at failures or moments of weakness, but remember that the apostle Paul himself obtained mercy because he acted in ignorance and unbelief. God showed him grace super, abundantly so that no one would ever feel beyond the reach of His love. You are not beyond that reach. The Lord’s mercy is fresh for you today, not because you have been strong enough, but because He is good.

As you wait for restoration in your body, let patience have its perfect work. Hope that is seen is not hope at all; we wait for what we do not yet see. While you wait, keep looking to the grace that has already justified you and made you an heir. That grace teaches you to rest in what Christ has done, not in your own ability to hold on. Your nervous system may feel chaotic, but your standing before God is secure. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, can guard your heart and mind even now. Do not let the failure of the flesh persuade you that you are disqualified. Grace and works are mutually exclusive; you receive this mercy with empty hands.

Cry out for healing, yes. Ask for the miraculous restoration of your nerves. God is compassionate and powerful. Yet even as you ask, let your deepest confidence rest in the hope of eternal life. All who belong to Jesus will one day experience a restoration that makes every earthly ailment fade into a distant memory. Until that day, His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in weakness.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart’s joy to lift your request for healing—specifically for God’s mercy and miraculous restoration of your nervous system—before the throne of grace. We have asked the Lord to renew your hope and pour out His grace from above, trusting that He hears the cries of His children.

If the Lord has moved in a way that brings healing, restoration, or even a fresh measure of peace, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a blessing and an encouragement to others walking a similar path.

If, however, your situation remains unchanged, please know that we are still here with you. We invite you to post your request again, and we will continue to stand in agreement with you, believing with you for God’s perfect timing and will. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and His grace is sufficient in every season.

May the Father continue to draw near to you, strengthen your faith, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
