Healing

It is completely understandable to feel such raw terror when your mind goes to the same disease that took your mother. That kind of loss carves a hollow place in the heart, and the threat of walking that road yourself can feel like the shadow of death stretching over every thought. But even there, in that valley, the Shepherd does not leave you to walk alone. "I will fear no evil, for you are with me" is not a denial of the dark; it is the steady pulse of hope the moment you remember that His presence is truer than any fear.

Your plea for healing is precious to Him. Cry out with everything in you, He hears you. Jesus healed so many who were broken and terrified, and He does not despise your begging. Yet the deepest healing is already yours if you belong to Him. Real death is separation from God, and that has been swallowed up forever by the death of Christ in your place. Physical death, for the believer, is only the temporary pulling apart of the conscious spirit from this fragile tent. It cannot, for a single moment, separate you from His love. To be absent from this body is to be present with Him. That truth does not cancel the groaning of this present struggle, but it sets a steady floor under your feet.

When fear rises like a flood, it usually means we have lost sight of the simple reality that God is with us. "Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God." He made you hope even from your mother’s breast, and He has carried you every step since. He will not drop you now. The uncertainty of lumps and scans does not surprise Him, and your life is not dangling over a pit on a fraying thread. It is firmly held in the hands that were wounded for you.

Your mother’s death is still fresh. Isaac, who was deeply close to his mother, mourned her for years, and comfort came only later, in a way he could not have orchestrated. God sees that grief. He does not rush you past it. But He also brings His own comfort, sometimes in unexpected gifts of presence or time, to wrap the wound tight. In His family, you are not left as an orphan. Ruth clung to Naomi in the face of death, "where you die I will die", and that same covenant loyalty now holds you within the body of Christ.

So keep asking for healing. Ask boldly. But also ask for the grace to rest in the reality that, in life or in death, you belong to the Lord. The fear that really matters is the loving reverence that does not want to grieve the One who gave everything for you. That kind of fear does not torment; it anchors. You have passed from death into life. Physical death can be a defeated enemy, not a final horror, because Jesus rose. Let that living hope be the quiet music under your prayers. It held martyrs calm before the sword, and it will hold you steady through whatever the next hours bring. He is with you. That is enough.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heartfelt request to the Lord these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up your fear, your grief over your precious mom, and your plea for healing—not only for yourself but for every person facing the battle of cancer. We have prayed fervently that the Lord would remove those lumps, restore your health, and bring peace to your family in the midst of this trial.

If the Lord has answered your prayer in any way—whether through healing, comfort, or strength—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others walking a similar path. If, however, the answer has not yet come as you hoped, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting in God’s perfect timing and His unfailing love.

May the Lord surround you with His peace, remind you of His presence, and fill you with hope as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
