Disciple of Prayer
Lord Jesus, please heal me & my family. Please heal the lump on my breast. Please don't make it cancerous.🙏 We just lost our mom for having breast cancer. I wouldn't know what to do. Tomorrow I will have my medical check up and hope it will go well. Please Lord Jesus, heal those who are battling with cancer. 🙏 Thank you Lord Jesus, please hear my prayer. Amen. 🙏

We come before you with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is facing a time of great fear and uncertainty. The memory of losing your mother to breast cancer weighs heavily upon you, and now you are walking through the valley of the shadow of this same illness. We stand with you in faith, declaring that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus' name, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask You to touch this lump with Your healing hand. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and we believe in Your power to heal. We pray that the medical tests tomorrow will reveal nothing harmful, and that any trace of illness would be completely eradicated from your body. You are the God who sees and knows our deepest fears, and we trust You to walk with this sister through every moment of this trial.

We also lift up all those who are battling cancer right now. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon them. Strengthen their bodies, comfort their spirits, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses who care for them, and let Your healing power flow through their hands.

We want to gently remind you, dear sister, that your faith in Jesus is the foundation of your hope. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father and receive healing, salvation, and peace. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Him, not just for healing, but for eternal life. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Father, we ask that You would fill this sister with Your peace as she waits for the results of her medical check-up. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let her feel Your presence surrounding her like a warm embrace, and let her rest in the assurance that You hold her future in Your hands.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. Amen.

We’re so sorry you’re walking into tomorrow carrying the weight of loss and fear. Losing your mom to breast cancer makes this lump feel especially heavy, and it makes complete sense that your mind would race to worst-case thoughts. Please know you don’t have to figure everything out tonight, you’ve already done the brave and right thing by scheduling your check-up.

It can help to remember that a lump does not automatically mean cancer, and that going to that appointment is a concrete act of care for yourself. Tomorrow, you won’t be alone: God goes ahead of you into that exam room, and He is not startled by anything the doctor may or may not find. He is steady, even when our hearts are pounding. Try not to let your mind sprint ahead of the actual facts, right now, you’re in the waiting space, and in that space, you can simply let yourself breathe and let others hold you up.

Practical things: if you have a friend or family member who can go with you, even to sit in the waiting room, that can ease the isolation. And tonight, maybe write down just the two or three questions you most want to ask the doctor, so you don’t have to carry them all in your head at once. Some people also find it helpful to set a small comfort for after the appointment, a quiet coffee, a call with someone safe, so the day doesn’t revolve only around the exam.

We are praying that you will sense Jesus’ nearness in a tangible way, that He would steady your spirit and give you clarity in the hours ahead.

Jesus, wrap this dear one in Your peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Calm her racing thoughts as she remembers her mom and faces her own fears. Guide the hands and minds of the medical team tomorrow, and give her courage to receive whatever comes, knowing You are with her. Hold her family close, and pour out Your mercy on all who battle cancer. We ask in Your name, Amen.

It is the Lord’s way to bring us to an end of ourselves, that we might trust wholly in Him. The very fear that shakes your soul is a call to lean not on your own understanding, but on the sure promise of His Word. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the great Physician, and the leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations, yes, even for that secret lump which now fills your heart with trembling. He who forgave the palsied man spoke pardon and healing in one breath, and He is the same today.

You say, “I would not know what to do.” Yet there is a sure place to put your foot: venture your all upon Christ alone. Do not wait for a feeling of peace or a token of grace before you trust Him; that would be to make a saviour of your frames and not of His finished work. If you commit yourself to Him now, though you discern it not, a divine power already works within you, and nothing short of omnipotent grace could lead a soul to cling so to Jesus. Your safety lies not in a favorable report, but in the nailed-pierced hands that hold the very stars in their courses. The Good Shepherd does not cast off His sheep in the dark day; He is nearest when the mist of fear hangs thickest.

It is natural to shrink from suffering and from the memory of a dear mother taken by this same affliction, such a fear is woven into our frail humanity. But for the child of God, the fear of death need not hold you in bondage. The risen Lord has passed through the grave and left it a furnished room for His own. Whether He heals the lump or grants you grace to bear it, you are secure in Him. If you have trusted Jesus with your soul’s eternal weight, can you not trust Him with this body which is His purchase too?

Tomorrow you go for a check. Go not in a spirit of slavish fear, but with a holy, childlike fear that trembles to sin against His goodness, yet rests confidently in His wise love. Say in your heart, “Lord, I am a poor worm, but You are my Redeemer; I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” Should the news be hard, He will be your strength; should it be light, He will be your song. In either condition, the well of bitterness is dried up for the forgiven soul. His grace is sufficient, your mother’s Lord is yours. Trust Him now, and you will learn how to live, and when the time comes, how to die.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very thought of a lump, after what you have suffered with your mother, is enough to fill the soul with dread. Yet what did our Lord do when He touched the body of Peter’s mother-in-law? He did not merely cool the fever and leave her weak, convalescing for many days. At once He gave her back perfect health, complete and whole, needing no time to recover. He is the same Physician now. Nothing is beyond His swift and total healing.

Do not let the fear of tomorrow’s examination spring up in you like a root of bitterness, defiling your heart and troubling those around you. God’s mercy is upon those who are anxious, especially upon those who, like a parent for a child, tremble and cling to Him. You have prayed, and He hears. Now cast aside the heavy care that gnaws at you; for what is done by Him is healing, not despite. Even if the result is not what we hoped, He can make the sick well and restore joy contrary to all expectation, as when Epaphroditus was sent back diligently and his health became a refreshment to all.

Let your continual prayer and the hearing of these truths destroy the desire to be overwhelmed by fear. Why be in bondage to an imagined evil? The wealth of health is safest when planted in heaven, entrusted to the One who keeps all things. So watch and be sober. Do not let the one who stands today in health become remiss, nor the one on the staff of weakness despair. Whether the lump is harmless or not, Christ is your healer. He will free you from this anxiety and establish you in security. Place your soul in His hands, and let tomorrow bring what it may, for His mercy is always ready for those who call upon Him.
