Beloved of All
Please say a prayer for my cousin ###. He’s just had blood clots removed from his lungs, gone through cancer and survived, now he’s had a heart attack due to stress from fear. He needs to know the Lord is always a healer. Thank you so much for your prayers. Blessings

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your cousin in earnest prayer. The trials he has endured, blood clots, cancer, and now a heart attack, are weighty, and we know the fear and stress he carries must feel overwhelming. But we declare with unwavering faith that the Lord is indeed our Healer, our Refuge, and our Strength. The psalmist writes, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3 WEB). This is the God we serve, One who does not abandon His children in their suffering but draws near to them in their weakness.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of his heart, for Scripture tells us, "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Fear is not from the Lord, and it has no place in the life of a believer. We command that fear to leave in the mighty name of Jesus, and we pray that your cousin would be filled with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

We also pray for his physical healing, believing that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). The same God who raised Lazarus from the dead and healed the woman with the issue of blood is still at work today. We ask You, Lord, to touch his lungs, his heart, and every part of his body that has been afflicted. Restore him fully, Lord, and let Your healing power flow through him like a river. We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord."

But above all, we pray that your cousin would come to know the Lord as his personal Savior if he does not already. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw him near, that he would repent of his sins, and place his trust in Jesus alone for salvation. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB). This is the greatest healing of all, the healing of the soul.

We also pray for his emotional and spiritual well-being. The enemy would love to keep him bound in fear and despair, but we declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37 WEB). Surround him with godly believers who will speak life into him, encourage him, and remind him of God’s faithfulness. Let him experience the love of Christ in tangible ways, so that his faith would be strengthened and his hope renewed.

Father, we ask that You would give him a fresh revelation of Your love and Your power. Let him see that even in the midst of trials, You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28 WEB). Give him the strength to trust You fully, even when the road ahead seems uncertain. And may his testimony of Your healing and deliverance bring glory to Your name.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are so sorry to hear about all your cousin is facing, cancer, blood clots, and now a heart attack on top of it. That is an exhausting load for one body to carry, and the stress and fear you mention are deeply understandable. We are grateful you reached out so we can stand with him in prayer.

When the body is so worn down, the mind and heart often feel fragile too. It is easy in that place to wonder where God is. But we have seen many times that His presence does not depend on our strength or even our ability to feel it. He draws especially near to those who are heavy-laden and afraid. Your cousin does not need to muster up a perfect faith; he can simply rest, knowing others are lifting him up.

One practical thing you can do is be a quiet, steady reminder of that hope. Sometimes just sitting with someone, speaking a calming word, or reading a beloved psalm aloud when he is up to it can redirect his thoughts away from fear. You might also gently encourage him or a close family member to talk with his medical team about how stress is affecting his recovery, not as a replacement for prayer, but as a wise part of caring for his whole health.

Let us pray with you now.

Lord Jesus, we bring this dear man to You. You know every detail of what his body has endured and the weight on his heart. We ask for Your healing touch, for his heart to grow stronger, his lungs to be clear, and his whole body to be restored. Quiet his fears and anchor him in the deep peace that only You can give. Remind him that You are his Healer, and You walk with him through every moment of this recovery. Grant wisdom to his doctors and steady hands to all who care for him. Sustain his family with equal measures of strength and hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is a blessed truth, proven again and again in the furnace of affliction, that our Lord is ever the Healer. When the body is broken and the heart is melted with fear, Christ comes with healing beneath His wings. Your cousin has passed through deep waters, cancer, blood clots, and now a heart assailed by dread. Yet these very storms are the triumph of His art; He cannot hide His eyes, much less His heart, from one for whom the Redeemer’s blood was shed.

Fear is weakening; it dishonors God. “Fear not, thou worm Jacob; I will help thee, saith the Lord.” Let this word go home to his soul. The fear of men, and the terror that rises from our own frailty, brings a snare, but the Lord says again and again, “Fear not: I am the First and the Last; I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore.” Lean hard upon that. He who gave His life for sinners lives to apply His healing leaves. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, not only the rich fruit, but even the least touch of His grace brings medicine to the conscience, the imagination, and the trembling heart. A word of His, recognized as His, can change the very life-blood and make the nature other than it was.

Pray that your cousin may receive a radical cure, a healing that goes to the root and brings a new heart. From a pardoning God there flow such mercies that even when the body is vexed, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” for the joy of blood-bought pardon swallows up the complaint. Let him cry to the Lord who planted the ear, for He will surely hear. The glorious atonement pleads louder than any cry of fear or pain; the blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel. It cries, not for vengeance, but for mercy, and it secures that every child of God shall be healed of backsliding, fear, and unbelief.

Cease not to point him to Jesus, for He is faithful when we are faithless. Pray that the Holy Spirit would burn upon the altar of his heart a holy longing, and that in answer to that longing, the Divine Physician would work a cure worthy of a God. I join my prayers with yours, that this dear one may know by joyful experience the healing power of Christ, and that fear may be swallowed up in perfect love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The one for whom you pray has endured the removal of blood clots from his lungs, cancer, and now a heart attack born of fear. Let him hear the Lord: "Be not afraid; for My yoke is easy and My burden is light." The blood that has troubled his body points toward the saving fountains that gushed from Christ's side, blood and water for the healing of the whole world. This is the blood of the New Testament, shed for the remission of sins. Let him come to Christ as the woman with the issue of blood came, trembling yet reaching out for healing, and he will find rest for his soul. Cry out for him with a contrite heart, even silently, for God hears the heart's cry as He heard Moses. The Lord Himself casts out fear and makes way for faith; He is the discerner of all thoughts. Trust in that blood which cleanses, for without shedding of blood there is no remission, but Christ's blood speaks healing and life. The Lord is the healer; let your cousin find in Him the rest that overcomes every affliction.

Your cousin has endured is more than most bodies and minds should have to carry. Blood clots in the lungs, a victory over cancer, and now a heart attack driven by the stress of fear. That kind of assault on the body often brings a deeper battle in the soul. You have asked for prayer and that he would know the Lord is always a healer. That is exactly where our hope must rest.

The Lord Jesus knows what it is to suffer. When the soldier thrust the spear into His side, blood and water poured out. Physicians can tell you that signals a heart so broken it literally ruptured. The weight of our sorrow and sin landed on Him, and He did not pull away. So your cousin has a High Priest who is not distant from his pain. He can entrust every heartache to the One who has walked through death and risen with healing in His wings.

Fear has been the culprit this time. Fear and genuine faith cannot coexist in the same heart. Think of Peter stepping onto the water at Jesus’ call. As long as his eyes were on the Lord, he did the impossible. The instant he looked at the wind and waves, fear rushed in and he began to sink. Jesus did not say he lacked faith entirely, but “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” What matters is where his eyes land. Your cousin has fought bravely, but the storms have shouted so loudly that fear managed to squeeze out peace. The invitation now is to turn his gaze back to Jesus, refusing to let fear dictate the next chapter.

How can he do that? Faith often needs a very practical point of release. There is nothing magical in olive oil or in the laying on of human hands, but God has given these as moments to activate what we already believe. When you pray for your cousin, lay a hand on his shoulder or anoint him with oil in Jesus’ name. Let that simple act become the moment he reaches out spiritually, like the woman who thought, “If I only touch His garment, I will be made well.” It was not the robe that healed her; it was her faith connecting to the Healer. Together, release active faith that says, “Lord, we believe You can do this now.”

Nourish that faith with Scripture. Read the healing stories from the Gospels aloud in his room. Let the promises of God wash over his mind until the word is nearer than the fear. Faith grows as it hears the voice of God again and again. The enemy loves to whisper threats, but the Father’s voice restores courage. Remember what Nehemiah did when enemies tried to frighten him into hiding: he prayed, “O God, strengthen my hands,” and refused to be afraid. The same God strengthens hearts today.

Know this, too: healing belongs to God’s sovereign hands. No one must pile guilt on your cousin as if he could produce healing by the force of his own faith. Many who trusted deeply still walked through suffering, and the Lord carried them all the way home. The burden is not on him to generate enough faith; the burden is on us to keep our eyes on the Healer. If God restores full health, we will praise Him. If the journey remains hard, His grace remains sufficient. Either way, He never leaves.

Let me now pray with you.

Lord Jesus, You are always the Healer. You see this man who has fought through cancer, through blood clots, and now a heart worn down by fear. We ask You to break the grip of anxiety over his body. Quiet his heart. Let every cell and vessel be flooded with Your peace and Your restoring power. We speak faith over fear. Let him feel Your nearness in such a tangible way that courage rises and dread sinks away. Give wisdom to the doctors and strength to those who love him. We lay this whole situation at Your feet, trusting Your goodness whether we see immediate miracles or are called to sustained dependence. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Peace be with you and your whole family. The Lord is near.
