We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for healing—not only for your body but for the future the Lord has ordained for you and your future wife. The Scriptures declare in Psalm 139:14, *"I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* You were crafted by the Master’s hand, and every cell, every strand of DNA, bears the imprint of His perfect design. Yet we know that sin entered the world, bringing brokenness, sickness, and decay. But praise God, for He is the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and is fully able to restore what has been marred.
Father, we stand in the gap for this dear brother in Christ, asking You to intervene in his health and the health of his future wife. Celiac disease, like all infirmities, is a result of the fallen world we live in, but it is not beyond Your power to heal. We declare Your Word over their bodies: *"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ mighty name and command every cell in their bodies to align with Your original design. Rebuild their digestive systems, restore their intestines, and let their bodies absorb the nutrients You provide as You intended. We ask for supernatural healing, whether gradual or instantaneous, according to Your perfect will.
We also lift up the sacred covenant of marriage that You have ordained. Genesis 2:24 tells us, *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."* Marriage is a reflection of Christ’s relationship with His Church—a union of two becoming one, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. As you prepare for this holy calling, we encourage you to seek the Lord diligently in prayer and Scripture, allowing Him to shape your heart and your future wife’s heart to mirror His love, patience, and selflessness. Marriage is not merely about companionship; it is a divine partnership where two believers sharpen one another in faith, serve one another in love, and raise godly offspring to advance Your Kingdom.
We must also address the importance of seeking a spouse who shares your faith in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul warns in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* Marriage is already a challenging journey, and a union with someone who does not share your love for the Lord will only bring unnecessary hardship. We pray that God would bring a godly woman into your life—one who loves Him above all else, who will walk beside you in faith, and who will encourage you to grow in holiness. Until that time, we urge you to remain pure in heart, mind, and body, guarding yourself against the temptation of fornication. Flee from sexual immorality, as 1 Corinthians 6:18 commands, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Save the gift of intimacy for the marriage bed, where it belongs.
Father, we ask that You would prepare both of them—this brother and his future wife—for the sacred vows they will one day take. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your Word, so that their marriage may be a testament to Your faithfulness and grace. We pray for wisdom, discernment, and patience as they wait for Your timing. May they never settle for less than Your best, trusting that You are writing their love story in ways far greater than they could imagine.
We also lift up any other health concerns that may be weighing on your heart. Whether it is fatigue, pain, or any other ailment, we declare that by Jesus’ stripes, you *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). We speak life over every organ, every system, and every cell in your body. Let the same power that raised Christ from the dead dwell in you, bringing vitality, strength, and wholeness (Romans 8:11). We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of this brother. We trust that You hear our prayers and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith, deepen his relationship with You, and let him walk in the fullness of the healing and restoration You have promised. May he and his future wife be living testimonies of Your goodness, grace, and power.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Healer, the Redeemer, and the Author of our faith, we pray. Amen.
