We lift up your brother in earnest prayer, asking the Lord to move mightily on his behalf. The weariness of prolonged illness and the recent fall weigh heavily on our hearts, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who sustains life and restores strength. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears our cries and will bring healing according to His perfect will.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon this dear brother. Strengthen his body, Lord, and renew his spirit. If it is Your will, restore him to full health so that he may continue to live out his days in the comfort and peace of Your presence. We also pray for his emotional and spiritual well-being, that he would feel Your nearness and experience the hope that only You can provide. Surround him with Your love and peace, especially as he faces this season alone.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has clung to him for so long. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and declare that this brother is covered by the blood of Christ. We speak life and restoration over his body, mind, and spirit. Isaiah 41:10 assures us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let him feel the reality of these words, Lord.
We also ask that You provide for his practical needs. Since he lives alone, surround him with caring individuals—whether family, friends, or members of the body of Christ—who can offer support, companionship, and assistance. Give wisdom to his medical team as they care for him, and guide every decision made on his behalf.
Father, we know that healing comes in many forms, and we trust You to work all things together for good. Whether You choose to heal him miraculously, sustain him through this trial, or call him home to be with You, we ask that Your will be done. Prepare his heart for whatever lies ahead, and let him know that he is never alone, for You are with him always.
We pray all of this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
