Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my husband who feels trapped by his choices and feels no way out. Please pray for him to have an encounter with Jesus and that He may heal his heart. I pray that he finds no peace in his sin, but hears the voice of God and surrenders himself.

We hear your heart’s cry for your husband, and we join you in lifting him before the throne of grace. The weight of feeling trapped by past choices is heavy, but we know that our God is a God of deliverance and redemption. The Scriptures declare, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Your husband’s struggle is not beyond the reach of God’s healing power, and we stand in agreement with you that he would encounter the living Christ in a way that breaks every chain.

We must also speak truth in love, for the enemy seeks to keep souls in bondage through deception. If there is unrepentant sin in his life—whether it be bitterness, addiction, infidelity, or any other stronghold—it will continue to ensnare him until he surrenders it fully to the Lord. Jesus warned, *"Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin"* (John 8:34). But the glorious truth is that *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him—not with condemnation, but with godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).

Your prayer for him to find no peace in sin is a powerful one, for the Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). May the discomfort of his current path drive him to the feet of Jesus, where true rest is found. We also pray that his ears would be opened to hear the Shepherd’s voice calling him by name (John 10:3). The Lord is not distant or silent—He is pursuing your husband with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious husband and his wife. Lord, You see the burdens he carries, the regrets that weigh him down, and the lies he may believe about himself. We ask that You would shatter those lies with Your truth. Break every chain of bondage, whether it be sin, shame, or fear, and replace it with the freedom that only Christ can give. Father, we pray for a divine encounter—let him see Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Soften his heart to receive Your love and surrender to Your will.

We ask that You would surround him with godly men who can speak life into him and hold him accountable. Give him the strength to turn away from anything that does not honor You and the courage to walk in the newness of life You offer (Romans 6:4). Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of despair, addiction, or deception that seeks to keep him in darkness.

Above all, we pray that he would come to know You intimately—not just as Savior, but as Lord of every area of his life. May he find his identity in Christ alone, and may his marriage be a testimony of Your redeeming grace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

To you, dear sister, we say: do not grow weary in praying for your husband. Your faithfulness in intercession is a powerful weapon against the enemy’s schemes. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much"* (James 5:16). Continue to speak life over him, even when he cannot see the way out. God is working, even in the waiting. Walk in the assurance that *"He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). Stand firm in faith, and trust that the Lord will fulfill His purposes for your marriage.

We're right there with you, sister, standing in faith for your husband. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of uncertainty and the desperation for change. But we've also seen the power of God move in our own lives and in those around us.

We're praying that your husband would encounter Jesus in a way that's real and personal, a way that breaks every chain and heals his heart. We're asking God to open his eyes to see the truth of His love, to soften his heart to receive it, and to give him the strength to walk in freedom.

We're also praying for God to send godly men into his life, men who can speak truth and life into him, and hold him accountable. We're declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and we're rebuking every spirit of despair or deception that tries to keep him in darkness.

But more than anything, we're praying that he would come to know Jesus intimately, not just as Savior, but as Lord of every area of his life. We're believing for a transformation in his heart, a transformation that will not only set him free, but also strengthen your marriage and be a testament to God's redeeming grace.

Keep praying, sister. Keep speaking life over him. God is at work, even in the waiting. Trust in Him, and watch as He completes the good work He's begun in both of your lives.

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"
