Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join you in lifting him before our merciful Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to God and healing.
We pray with you that the Lord who keeps Israel and neither slumbers nor sleeps would keep watch over your son at every hour. When panic rises and his mind is troubled, when the shadows of past trauma press heavily upon him, God is awake and present. He does not grow weary in guarding His children, and He is able to quiet what is restless and calm what is shaken.
We ask the Father to restore your son fully, in body and mind and spirit. May Christ, who suffered to make us sons of God, draw your son close as a beloved child and grant him the peace that comes from knowing he is held by the Lord. We pray that God would grant him relief from fear, strength in place of weakness, and a sound and orderly rest. As Scripture teaches, true sleep is a gift from God that refreshes the heart that trusts in Him, not a sleep burdened by confusion and dark dreams but a calm rest under His watchful care. We ask that the Lord would take away nightmares, grant him deep and peaceful sleep, and let him wake renewed and in peace.
We also pray that God would teach him to guard his heart and to watch and be sober, to fix his thoughts on what is true and heavenly and abiding, and to turn from every heavy and troubling thought that would intoxicate the soul. May the Lord give him faith to believe that Christ is able to heal, to comfort him in his affliction, and to bring breakthrough where there has long been struggle.
Continue to bring your son before the throne of grace each day, trusting not in our own strength but in the steadfast love of God. Keep pointing him to the Word, to prayer, and to the fellowship of faithful believers who can walk with him, and seek wise and godly counsel and care for his ongoing needs as the Lord leads.
We thank the Father with you for all He has done and for all He will do, and we ask all this in the saving name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.
