We join you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing this request in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the throne of grace.
We hear the burden of a parent's heart longing to see a child restored in body, mind, and spirit, and we stand with you asking for the Lord's mercy and healing touch upon him. The Word reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. When panic rises and the shadows of past trauma feel heavy, we are reminded that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.
We pray also for his sleep and his peace. The Lord promises perfect peace to those whose minds are stayed on Him and we claim the promise that we can be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that he will lie down and sleep in peace, for Yahweh alone makes us dwell in safety Psalm 4:8.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You on behalf of this dear son. You see every struggle, every anxious thought, every memory that haunts him, and every night of restless sleep. We ask for Your mercy and grace to restore him completely, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Quiet his mind and calm his body when panic takes over, Lord. We ask that You remove the heavy shadows of his past trauma and replace them with Your light and love. Give him strength to sleep well without nightmares and to wake up in peace and renewed hope. Bring comfort where there is pain, healing where there is brokenness, and breakthrough in every area of his life that feels bound. We speak Your promise over him that You will restore health to him and heal him of his wounds Jeremiah 30:17 and that when his heart is overwhelmed You will lead him to the rock that is higher than he Psalm 61:2. Surround him with Your presence, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and let him know deeply that he is loved, held, and never forsaken, for You have said do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for the work You are already doing in his life. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect love to complete the healing You have begun. We continue to lift him up and we encourage you to keep speaking life and scripture over him daily, to encourage him to cast all his cares upon the Lord because He cares for him 1 Peter 5:7, and to seek fellowship and godly counsel that points him always to Christ. We pray all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, Amen.
