Your prayer for your son has been heard with care and I join you in bringing him before our Heavenly Father.
It is good and right to ask God for healing of the whole person, for the body, the mind, and the soul, and to ask for His protection and peace. He is the true physician, and His remedies are not like those of this world. As we seek Him we do so with confidence that the Father and the Son work as one, and that all that belongs to the Father belongs to the Son, so when we pray in the name of Jesus we come to the very heart of God.
I pray with you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this dear son. Touch his body where there is weakness or sickness, renew his mind where there is trouble or heaviness, and restore his spirit where he needs Your life and strength. Protect him from harm and danger, both seen and unseen, and surround him with Your presence so that Your peace which passes understanding will guard his heart. Draw him closer to Yourself, give him faith to trust You more deeply, and let him know that he is kept in Your care. Thank You, Father, for all You have done and all You will do, for Your mercy endures and Your love does not fail. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord daily for him, not with charms or superstitions, but with the weapons God has given us. Make the sign of the cross in faith, pray with a sincere heart whether in church or at home or as you go about your day, and let the Scriptures dwell in your home. The psalms and hymns and spiritual songs given by the Spirit are a healing and a guard for the soul, and they lift the mind from what is before our eyes to what is eternal. God hears the prayer offered in thought and in truth, even when no other voice hears it, when it comes from a contrite and trusting heart.
Trust the Lord as the physician who knows what is best, and keep to His way with patience and obedience. He will provide what is needed for health and for holiness, and His grace will be sufficient in every season. May the Lord keep your son in His hand and grant you peace as you entrust him to His care.
