Consider how Christ, when He touched the body of Peter’s mother-in-law, not only quenched the fever but gave back perfect health instantly, with no lingering weakness. So great is His power, and so unfailing His mercy. Your prayer for your son is pleasing to the Father, for you approach through the Son who is true God and who became Son of David that you might become a daughter of God. Yet be watchful: if after a long illness you regained strength for forty days and then returned to the food that caused the sickness, would you not lose all?

Do not think that a little prayer or a short season of piety is enough to secure lasting protection. The soul, once healed, must not be handed back to the sins that made it sick. You ask for protection? Know that every believer has an angel, but there is also a demon pressing near.

Therefore, above all, seek peace, the mother of all good things. Let your household be free from strife, for the peacemakers are called sons of God. Do not trust in uncertain riches or any worldly shield, but in Him who alone is true. Christ, when in the midst of horrors, showed Himself above all horrors, and so He will strengthen your son to overcome every assault, seen and unseen.

Pray without ceasing, but let your life be one of peace and holiness, and the God of peace will surround him with His presence.

Your prayer for your son rises with the same love that moved a father like Abraham, who would have laid down everything for his child. The Father who gave His only Son knows that love perfectly, and He hears you when you cry out in Jesus’ name.

Jesus, the Son of God, proved His authority over every kind of brokenness, physical, mental, and spiritual. When He walked this earth, He healed fevers that racked bodies, commanded demons to leave, and spoke peace to minds tormented by fear. He still holds that power today. And notice how He often linked the health of the body with the state of the soul. There is a real connection between our inner well-being and our physical frame. As your son’s soul prospers, as he rests in God’s peace and truth, that can bring strength to his body in ways we are only beginning to understand. So you are praying exactly right: ask for healing that reaches his thoughts, his spirit, and his flesh.

Healing does not always come in a flash. Sometimes Jesus restored health little by little, or used the quiet processes He built into our bodies. All of it is still His work. Whether the change is sudden or gradual, it is divine when it comes from His hand. And even when we cannot trace the full path, we entrust our loved ones to the One who has power to forgive sins and to say, “Take up your bed and walk.” He sees the whole person.

Regarding protection, remember that even the forces of darkness recognized Jesus as the Son of God. They had no choice but to bow to His authority. Placing your son under that same lordship is the safest place he can be. The unseen world must yield to the Son who sits at the right hand of power.

So continue to abide in Him, holding fast to the truth that Jesus is the Son of God who loves your son more than you can imagine. Let your own heart be steadied by the promise that as you honor the Son, you have the Father as well. I join you in asking for the peace of Christ to surround your son, for wholeness to grow in every part of his being, and for the presence of the Lord to be his constant shield.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your precious son up in prayer before our Heavenly Father. It has been on our hearts to continue standing in agreement with you, asking God to pour out His healing touch upon your son—physically, mentally, and spiritually. We have prayed for His divine protection to surround him, shielding him from all harm and danger, both seen and unseen, and for the peace of God’s presence to envelop him in every moment.
