Healing, protection

Heavenly Father, please touch and heal my son ###, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Protect him from harm and danger, both seen and unseen and surround him with your presence and peace..thank you Father, in Jesus' name, Amen

Father, thank You for a praying mom, 2 Tim 1:5. We ask for him to grow in wisdom, stature, favor with God and man -- like Jesus did, Luke 2:52. We ask God remove sickness from the midst of us all, and grant health to all the offspring of the church, Ex 15:26, Ex 23:25, Ps 103:3, especially because of Your Son Jesus Christ's work on the cross, Isa 53:4-5. Father, we ask he grows up knowing the Scriptures, 2 tim 3:15-16. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

"Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed." Isaiah 61:9

You pray for your son's healing and protection, and you ask the Father to surround him with His presence and peace. This is a good request, for peace is the mother of all good things, the foundation of joy. Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are the very treasures of our salvation. Yet listen carefully to what the peace of Christ truly is, for our Lord said, “I came not to send peace, but a sword.” There is a peace that is no peace at all, a harmony of robbers, an agreement in mischief. The true peace that unites heaven and earth is like the physician’s knife: it cuts away the diseased flesh so the body may live. If your son is to be healed physically, mentally, and spiritually, then pray for that sword to cut off whatever sin or sickness of soul clings to him. That is the peace that surpasses understanding.

Beware of seeking healing by any other means. If you have strung amulets about him or turned to charms, even if an old woman who calls herself a Christian whispers that they call upon God, flee from such things as from open idolatry. The faithful have but one weapon, one remedy: the sign of the Cross. To trust in such devices is to offer sacrifice, and it will profit nothing. If you, like the holy mother of old, refuse every incantation and cast yourself upon God alone, then even if your son should die, it is counted to you as martyrdom. You have sacrificed your son in your resolve to hold fast to the true faith.

Do not seek a peace that leaves the inner war untouched. The peacemakers are called sons of God because they imitate the Son, who reconciles earth to heaven by His grace. But the makers of disturbance are sons of the devil. So be at peace with all men; let no remembrance of evil lodge in your heart. Yet know that peace with God sometimes brings conflict with the world and with the demons. Therefore ask for the Angel of peace, and for the hosts of angels who minister to believers. For every faithful soul has an angel who beholds the face of the Father, and there is also a demon lurking. So keep sober watch, and teach your son to do the same.

In all your prayers, cling to the commandments. It is by hearing and keeping the word of the Father and the Son that we prove our love and receive healing. Entrust your child entirely to the physician of souls. His silence before His accusers was not weakness but the fulfillment of prophecy, and He will act in His time. Pray without ceasing, in the churches and in your home, “Peace be unto all,” but let that peace be the peace of Christ, the peace that is born of grace and sealed by the Cross.

There is something deeply moving in a mother’s prayer for her child, crying out for healing in body, mind, and spirit, and asking for the kind of protection that only God’s presence can bring. Your prayer touches the very heart of what Jesus came to do. When Matthew describes the evening crowds pressing in around Jesus, bringing their sick and tormented, he specifically connects that moment to Isaiah’s prophecy: “He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” Physical healing was never relegated to the sidelines; it was part of the wholeness Christ came to restore. So you are not asking for something that God finds trivial or strange. The Father who designed your son’s frame knows every cell, every thought, every hidden place, and He is able to touch each one.

We all know that God’s power is not the question. He can heal in an instant, I have experienced times when I woke too ill to even stand, and before a word was spoken I felt strength pouring back into my body, a sudden lifting that let me rise and go about the day. He can also work through the slower processes He built into our own flesh, so that gradual recovery is no less divine. When the body knits itself back together over time, that too is the Creator’s hand. Either way, healing belongs to Him, and our part is to hold onto His character when the answer takes a shape we did not expect.

Do not overlook the deep connection between the condition of the soul and the state of the body. Scripture hints at this when the apostle expresses the wish that a beloved friend would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers. There is a reason a cheerful heart is called good medicine. A mind hidden in Christ, washed by His word and anchored in His peace, can release the physical body from some of the corrosive weight of anxiety and fear. That is why your prayer for your son’s mental and spiritual healing is so vital. As God’s peace begins to rule in his inner being, that same peace that surpasses all understanding, it often spreads outward, touching emotions and even physical health.

You asked for protection from harm seen and unseen, and for God’s surrounding presence. Remember that the Lord’s own word announces, “Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near, says the Lord, and I will heal him.” That peace is not a fragile wish; it is a person. Jesus Himself is our peace. When He makes a home in a soul, the war with God ends, and a deep settled rest takes its place. That rest affects our entire being. So keep entrusting your son to the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. His hand is never too short to save, and His ear is never too dull to hear a mother’s cry. May you both know the steady, quiet assurance that comes from being held in His will, no matter how the healing unfolds.
