We join you in lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. The Word of God assures us that "He himself took our infirmities, and bore our diseases" (Matthew 8:17), and we stand on this promise as we intercede for your son’s complete healing, body, mind, and spirit.
Father God, we ask You to lay Your healing hands upon him, touching every part of his being that is afflicted. Where there is pain, bring relief; where there is weakness, infuse strength; where there is confusion or despair, pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over his life as a shield against all harm, seen and unseen. Surround him with Your holy angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a fortress around him at all times.
We also pray for his spiritual well-being, that he would draw near to You and experience the fullness of life that comes from walking in Your ways (John 10:10). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him know that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If there are areas in his life where he has strayed from Your will, we ask that You gently lead him back to the path of righteousness.

The very cry of a mother's heart reaches the ear of the Great Physician, for the healing power is conspicuously present where faith lays its case before Him. You have done well to bring your son, in the arms of prayer, into the presence of Jesus, just as the palsied man was let down through the roof. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus!
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The least thing about Christ is healing, and He has sovereign remedy for body, mind, and spirit. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He spoke first to the deeper malady: "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! So lay hold of this double mercy. Plead the precious blood that cleanses from all sin, for healing will come from the pardoning hand. He used no other remedy in healing our sin-sickness but that of taking our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. This is the one great cure-all.
As for protection from dangers seen and unseen, remember that the very presence of Jesus is a wall of fire. That contact established by faith, when He takes us by the hand and lifts us up, is the surest safeguard. The healing leaves of His grace change the life blood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. Your son is brought in prayer to the One of whom it is written, "His leaf also shall not wither." Surround him with the promises of God; bathe him in the influence of the Word, for it is when Jesus is teaching that healing power is most present. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

You ask God to touch and heal your son, to protect him and surround him with peace. This is the cry of a parent's love, and I do not dismiss it. Yet consider what peace you truly seek and what healing you desire. Our Lord Himself declared, "I am not come to send peace, but a sword." Do not imagine that peace is always a blessing. When the body is diseased, the physician must cut away the rotting flesh so the whole may live. So too does Christ separate us from the sin that clings to us, sometimes by suffering, that our souls may be saved. The peace of robbers is not the peace of God. If you pray only for a quiet life and a healthy body while leaving the soul unexamined, you ask for a dangerous truce.
Above all, beware of seeking help from any source but God alone. Do not bind amulets on your child, do not whisper incantations, do not run after those who promise healing through charms, even if they claim to be Christians. That is not faith but idolatry, a sacrifice to demons. The sign of the Cross is your only weapon, your only medicine. If a mother endures her child's sickness and refuses such mockeries, she is a martyr, surrendering her son to God's will rather than to the Enemy. She who resorts to those deceitful practices, though she protest that she calls upon God, has already performed the act of sacrifice. Stand firm: say, "I am one of the faithful," and trust in Christ alone, who endured the Cross and opened not His mouth.
Pray for peace, yes, but the peace that is reconciliation with God. For the Son of God came down and lifted earth to heaven, breaking down the wall of partition. Each believer has an angel who beholds the Father's face; your son, if he is in Christ, has such a guardian. So ask for the Angel of peace, and let there be no war in your own heart against God's commandments. True peace is the mother of all good, but it comes only when the whole soul is at rest in obedience. If you would be a peacemaker and called a son of God, then imitate the Son of God. Be at peace with your neighbor, and wage war only against sin. He who hears Christ's words and keeps them, loves both the Son and the Father.
Do not simply confess Christ with your lips, like Nathanael who called Him King of Israel yet did not fully grasp His divinity. Confess Him as Very God, the Son of God, who holds all authority over body and soul. Then your prayer for healing will be joined to a prayer for sanctification. Whether your son is restored to health or called to suffer for a time, you will receive the grace and peace that come from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. That peace is not a fragile truce with the world but the unshakeable foundation of joy, the gift that remains when every earthly comfort fails.
