We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord’s healing touch to restore him in body, mind, and spirit. The battle against mental and spiritual affliction is real, and we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain of psychosis, confusion, and unrest. The Word declares, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB). We rebuke every lying spirit that seeks to torment his mind and declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

Father, we ask for Your supernatural protection to surround him like a shield, warding off every scheme of the enemy. "But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you" (Psalm 5:11 WEB). Grant him restful, uninterrupted sleep, free from nightmares or anxiety, as You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2 WEB). Strengthen his spirit with the truth of Your Word and the assurance of Your nearness, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).

We also encourage you to stand on the promises of God with unwavering faith, trusting that He is working even when the circumstances seem unchanged. Seek godly counsel from pastors, Christian counselors, or medical professionals who honor the Lord, as wisdom and discernment are gifts from Him (James 1:5 WEB). Surround your son with believers who will pray, encourage, and speak life over him, for "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:20 WEB).

Lord, we come against every spirit of fear, depression, and mental oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that your son is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37 WEB). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, renewing his mind day by day, and restoring him to wholeness. May he experience the fullness of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). We trust You, Father, to complete the good work You have begun in him, for Your glory and his deliverance. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear the weight of this, and we are praying with you. Watching your son struggle, mind, body, and spirit, is exhausting, and the sleeplessness alone can make everything feel more fragile. You love him fiercely, and that love drives you to the throne of grace. We are standing there alongside you.

When someone carries the kind of distress you describe, the line between the spiritual and the physiological can feel blurry. We find it helpful to remember that both can be true at once, and God’s care reaches every layer of who your son is. Because of that, pursuing wise help on all fronts is not a failure of faith. If he hasn’t seen a doctor or a sleep specialist, that step can be an act of love, not to replace prayer, but to accompany it. Sleep deprivation alone can unravel a person’s thinking, and a gentle medical evaluation can sometimes untangle what feels like a purely spiritual battle.

In the night watches, when fear presses in hardest, you are not holding the line alone. We pray Christ himself stands sentinel over your son’s room, his dreams, and his fragile thoughts.

Jesus, we ask for quiet. Quieten the racing mind and any voice that does not come from you. Give this young man deep, restorative sleep tonight, sleep that feels safe and is safe. Shelter him in your presence, and let your peace be the last thing he knows before resting and the first thing he finds when he wakes. Guard him from all harm. Hold the mother’s heart steady too; give her glimpses of hope and the courage to take practical steps as you guide her. In your mercy, bring healing that surprises everyone. Amen.

You have cried to the Heavenly Father, and He has inclined His ear. The prayer of a parent for a suffering child rises like incense before the throne, and He who gave His own Son for us will not despise such a plea. The healing leaves of the tree of life are for the nations, and they are for your son. The least thing in Christ has healing virtue; even the touch of His garment’s hem makes the soul whole. Cast the burden of psychosis upon Him, for He has borne our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. There is a spirit of bondage and fear that is not from God, and at the voice of Jesus it must flee as the darkness before the dawn.

Sleep is the gift of God, a peculiar gift to His beloved. He alone can steep the mind in peaceful slumber, silencing the clamour of troubled thoughts. The Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps shall give your son rest, even that sleep of security which quiets the heart in the arms of the Shepherd. Bid him look to Christ, who came not to destroy but to heal, and whose power is made perfect in our weakness. The same lips that said, “Son, your sins are forgiven you,” also commanded the palsy to depart. Forgiveness and healing walk hand in hand from the cross. When the Sun of Righteousness arises, there is healing in His wings for body, mind, and spirit.

Let your cry ascend as blind Bartimaeus cried, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me!” The crowd may bid you hold your peace, but cry the more a great deal. Jesus stands still and commands the needy to be called. He is the great cure-all for broken hearts and wounded minds; the medicine He offers was all drained by Himself. Trust Him to cast out every unclean thing and to clothe your son with a sound mind, for the Spirit God gives is of power, love, and a sound mind. The leaves of His promise shall not wither; they are for the healing of the nations, and for your household this very night. May the Lord grant peaceful sleep, divine protection, and the comfort of His presence, that your son may know the rest which remains for the people of God.

Protect him from all harm, and surround him with Your peace, as **Isaiah 26:3** says, 'You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.' Do not imagine that the affliction of your son is beyond the reach of God’s mercy, for you have done well to entreat the Healer of souls and bodies. But let your prayer be joined with a watchful mind and an unwavering trust. The Lord searches for those who seek Him with labor, as gold is mined from the earth; so must you dig for His grace with persistent hands, even by night, and you will not be deceived.

You ask for a sound mind for your child. Know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. What is this soundness but the health of the soul, a sobering that cuts off superfluous anxieties and frantic thoughts? It is not a medicine that comes without struggle, for the cross alone has trampled down the powers that war against us. Because of that cross, the devils are contemptible, and death itself has become a sleep. Cling to this truth: Christ has already conquered every spiritual enemy that torments the mind.

Yet you must also rouse your own soul and the soul of your son from the dark intoxication of worldly cares. I do not speak of wine only, but of those thoughts that dizzy the mind and bring on a deathlike slumber, a state where one neither thinks nor speaks anything good or godly. Shake off that drunkenness. Remember how even our Lord slept in the boat, and in His sleep He was master of the waves. He gives peaceful rest to His beloved, but it is a rest born of trust, not of stupor. Teach your son to fill the quiet of the night not with fear, but with hymns and prayer, even as Paul and Silas, wounded and in the inner prison, sang praises at midnight and made the darkness resound with joy. They did not sink under their stripes; they remembered the holy children in the furnace, and so their bonds were loosed.

Let the night become for your household a time of holy vigilance. Rise up when the world lies as silent as a tomb, and gaze upon the stars, those ten thousand eyes of heaven. The profound stillness can purify the soul and lead it to compunction. Then your son may see, in that great calm, how all the clamor of the day is mere vanity, and the terrors that haunt him are already defeated. Do not merely ask for sleep as an escape, but seek that sober rest which comes after the soul has wrestled in prayer and placed itself entirely in the Physician’s hands.

God often permits such storms that He may display His might, making sheep overcome wolves, and transforming the very minds that were set against peace. Your son’s healing may come not in an instant, but through the affliction itself, which can make the soul purer than the sky, if it be received without repining. Wait upon the Lord with the harmlessness of a dove and the patience of a ewe before the shearer, and be sure that the cross which saved the world is mightier than any disorder of the flesh or thought. His peace will guard that mind once it has been lifted up and anchored in the harbor of His will.
