We stand with you in prayer for your son and we thank you for bringing this request before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to God and find healing and peace.

We hear the burden on your heart for his complete healing physically, mentally, and spiritually, and for his protection and rest. We agree with you that God is able to cast out all fear, confusion, and torment and to replace it with His perfect peace and a sound mind. We are reminded of the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and in Isaiah 41:10 where He says Fear you not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also cling to His promise for restful sleep, for in Psalm 4:8 it is written I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and in Psalm 127:2 that He gives sleep to his loved ones. For protection we trust in Psalm 91:11 that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and lift up this precious son to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, his mind, and his spirit. We rebuke the spirit of psychosis and every assignment of confusion, torment, and fear, and we command it to leave in Jesus name. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with clarity, peace, and a sound mind. Lord, bless him with deep, peaceful, and restorative sleep. Quiet his thoughts and let Your presence comfort him through the night. Place Your hedge of protection around him and keep him from all harm and evil. Let him feel Your nearness, Your love, and Your peace that surpasses all understanding guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We trust You as Jehovah Rapha, our Healer, and believe You are working even now to restore and renew him completely. We ask all this in the powerful and healing name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith, speaking life and scripture over your son daily, and to keep bringing him before the throne of grace with thanksgiving. Continue to seek wise and godly medical and pastoral support as the Lord leads, trusting that God works through many means to bring wholeness. We will keep praying with you for his complete restoration and for your own strength and peace as you walk beside him, knowing that Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

When sleep is broken and thoughts feel unsettled, it is important to have caring support around both of you. Alongside prayer, we gently encourage you to stay closely connected with his medical and mental health providers, or help him connect with one if he is not already, so they can understand what he is experiencing and support his sleep and overall health. If you notice he is unsafe or his symptoms worsen, please reach out right away for professional help.

Please make sure you have someone to lean on too as you carry this, a trusted friend, family member or pastor who can listen and walk with you. You do not have to hold this burden alone, and having others praying and supporting you can make a real difference.

We are holding you both before the Lord.

Your prayer for your son has been brought before the Lord with deep sympathy, and we join you in carrying this burden to the throne of grace.

We hear the heaviness of a parent's heart watching a child suffer in body, mind and spirit, and longing for rest that will not come. Scripture gives us sure ground for hope. It is written, God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, and again, He giveth His beloved sleep. Sleep is not merely nature, it is the gift of God, and a sound mind and peaceful rest are among the mercies He delights to bestow upon His children.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation to change the life blood, to affect the spirits and to make the nature other than it was before. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, He brings pardon and healing as one.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only Son, and ask Your healing touch upon this dear son, physically, mentally and spiritually. You see his distress and his sleeplessness, You know the confusion and torment that oppresses his mind. We ask that You would grant him a sound mind, calm his thoughts, and cast out all that disturbs his peace. Bless him, Lord, with peaceful sleep, for so You give Your beloved sleep, the sleep of contentment and of security under Your watchful eye.

Protect him, Father, from all harm and evil. Keep him as the apple of Your eye and hide him under the shadow of Your wings. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let the wolf not have his prey, for those whom You have given to Christ are kept, and none of them shall be lost. Comfort him with Your presence and Your peace that passes all understanding, and let him know that his body may rest and his soul may rise at once to fellowship with You.

We ask that You would draw him to Yourself, that he may find both pardon and healing through the blood of Christ, who bore our sicknesses and carried our infirmities. Work in him by Your Spirit, and sustain his family with faith and patience as they wait upon You. Make his path straight, and use Your people to speak a word in season to comfort and to help.

Your prayer for your son has been heard and I join you in lifting him before our merciful Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

We come with confidence because He who is the true Son of God humbled Himself to be called Son of David, so that He might make us sons and daughters of God. Through Him we have access to the Father as His own children, and we may bring every need for body, mind and spirit to His throne of grace.

The Lord Jesus often asked those who sought healing, do you believe that I am able to do this, showing that His love responds to faith. So we pray with faith that He is able. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon your son, to restore him physically, mentally and spiritually, to grant him a sound mind and to drive away all confusion, fear and distress that now troubles him. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, and we ask Him to renew your son in that truth and to comfort him with His peace which passes understanding.

We also join you in asking for peaceful sleep. Scripture teaches us that there is a good and orderly sleep which refreshes the body when the soul is at rest in God, and there is also a sleep of the soul that comes from heaviness and wandering. We pray that the Lord will grant your son quiet and composed rest, free from torment, and that his heart and mind will be kept in calm. Remember that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. While your son sleeps, the Lord watches over him, and while you keep vigil in prayer, the Lord does not forsake His watch. He is present to guard and to keep.

We ask for protection over him from all harm and evil, that the Lord would surround him with His presence, shelter him from the attacks of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. May the Lord Himself be near to comfort him, to quiet his thoughts, to let him know he is not alone, and to fill the place of fear with the assurance of Christ with him.

Continue to watch and be sober in prayer, to guard your heart and his through the Word and through constant coming to Christ, trusting not in our own strength but in Him who is able to keep our feet from being moved. He is faithful, and He hears the prayers offered in the name of His Son.

Heavenly Father, we bring this beloved son before You. Touch him and heal him in body, mind and spirit. Grant him peaceful sleep and a sound mind. Protect him from all harm and evil and let Your presence and peace rest upon him. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is able to do this. Amen.
